    Great shave, Barry!

How do you like the Cien aftershave? I've been thinking of trying the Aqua one.

:signs001: Daniel...How do you like the Cien aftershave..Both the Aqua & X-bolt are great every day aftershaves and great value for money, as is the sensitive ASB too.

    The Morning shave.
I could go 2 or even 3 days without shaving but, since I re-discovered the safety razors, shaving is enjoyable and looked forward to.
Today I used Sir Hare Shaving soap over Proraso Sandlawood pre-shave cream. Mickey measures an almond sized dab of soap into the Shave Nation lathering bowl after both brush and bowl have been pre-heated with HOT water for a few minutes. I apply the pre-shave after washing my face and applying a HOT washcloth to my face for about 30 seconds. By then my bowl & brush are warmed up. Sir Hare takes a bit more elbow grease to whip up nice but, it's VERY nice lather. Nice scent too!
Razor of choice was my Muhle R41 with a Treet Carbon Steel Blade. It is a black colored blade. Thi was my second shave using this blade. I figure 4 shaves per blade. Shave was a 3-pass with first going with the "grain". Second was sideways and 3rd was against the grain. VERY close shave! Rinse and rub alum block wet with cold water. No razor burn and no"leakers" or nicks. I have my safety razor technique back and can use the "Beast" without worries.
    After-shave was Proraso balm.

Nice shave, pic and post Hogie. The Mühle R41 is no joke, but it is a great shaver. Maybe, you might want to use a Feather in that razor. Have a great day.

How did you like that Classic Barber from Sir Hare? I'm already looking ahead to my next Barbershop shave, that is, after my current two run out, just haven't decided which it will be.

i think my favorite barbershop scent is the clubman vanilla..:):eatdrink047:just has that aura to it..

Ah, therein lies one of my "beefs" with Clubman. Their regular shave soap has more of a vanilla scent than "regular". Why didn't they say "Clubman Vanilla" on the lid...too small for all that, I guess. As I wrote earlier, that one gets a lot of "5-stars" on Amazon.

i was referring to the aftershave, but the soap "problem" is easy to fix.buy 2 and grate/press them into an old soap container-the size you do like.:)

I just might try that. I already use Feather blades in some of my other razors.
