Injector and SE Shaves

ASRazor shave, March 22nd 2022

Razor: Everready 1912 model- Mfg 1936-53 NDC, excellent mid range, very close shave, mostly carefree and great handle grip.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice scent of vanilla and mild Tabaco with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2 band badger barber pole, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups + razor(testing).
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my ER 1912 with a coated Gem blade.
(It does not get much better than this)

I had a nice smooth shave this morning with the Gem Featherweight. A great lather was whipped up with MER Shavings Barbershop scented soap and my copper handled Zenith Boar.

Today I used another version of the Injectomatic, which I loaded with a Schick Chick Blade. I have not used one of these blades in an age, but was really impressed at how well the Razor/Blade combo worked. Another quality Shave and without fuss a Top Notch finish was attained.

I love this razor, @SlimGem . I would like to see it with an open comb like the new Supply SE. That is my challenge/suggestion. Great shaves all week.

Sunday injector shave, March 27th 2022

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021>Tame mid range, great design, very enjoyable shave and affordable for most.
Blade: Schick Proline AC injector p30(5) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade.
Soap: Razorock Irish Country side, mild scent with excellent lather qualities, nice lather always and protective.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm rainbow brown whiskers, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave: brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso green with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion (Scentless)
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick proline p30.

Fantastic shave today.

 

Getting this F type to a usable state was quite a challenge. Likely put away wet with the blade in it 40 years ago, the blade was rusted to pieces. Getting the pieces out without bending or causing any damage was a difficult, but successful task. Sure is purty now .

Nice Shave with Schick J3- Hydro magic 500 & NOS Schick Platinum-Holland ( 3 ). Nearly finished the tub of Spitfire, which seems to be a Weekend favourite.
