  8. Unfortunately, no. I just haven't used Artie in awhile and decided to open up the month using it. I committed to using Arko soap with an adjustable razor 8x so I wanted to get a straight shave right out of the gate. I shave about 20x in a month so almost half of my shaves will be adjustables. It means I will have at least 12 straight/shavette shaves. Finally, I am not looking to buy any more hardware, unless I find a Filly Novodor for a reasonable price. That will happen when pigs fly. Lol!

  12. Hi!

This is by far the worst shaving video I have ever made. Please watch the entire 8 minutes, and especially the last three and a half minutes, as there is some good stuff that I really want to share with you all. I hope you enjoy it!

  14. Great pic, setup and shave Barry! The Mühle R41 is definitely a get it done shaver. I have the R102 (R41) and it is a great headshaver. I am glad I got it in my collection.

  16. April 2 SOTD

    Good morning!

    20220401_204650.jpg

    Straight razor shave #356
    13/8 ArtRazor 1000 (21)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
    Razorock XX SS
    Stirling Coconut Lime AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40.5 hrs

It's my first shave in the month and decided to have Artie do the honors. The last time I shaved with it was Jan 12. Anyway, Evan's brush performed well. It produced a nice, creamy, thick lather.

I did a 2.5 pass shave. My first pass is always with the grain and the second is always against the grain. My half pass is against the grain on the neck and lower chin area. I did get a nice, close shave, but got a micro weep on the left corner of my mouth. However, it disappeared with splashing cold water and without styptic or alum intervention.

The alum gave some feedback, but it wasn't outrageous. Witch hazel was applied to calm my skin. I don't have the matching aftershave, but that's fine because I can use any aftershave with the Razorock XX. The scent on this soap is very light and neutral. I picked Stirling Coconut Lime aftershave because it's almost finished. Have a great Saturday!
