:signs001: Joe....The R41 is wonderfully efficient...I must be honest and say though my first few early outings with it where not the best. After i gained much needed technique and shaving confidence and told my brain to 'use the lightest of touch, and to 'Shave the lather from my face rather than the stubble i became aware that it was a superb razor...We only fear what don't understand, or haven't experience. Gaining my technique & shaving confidence i now use the R41 to do a head shave, something i never thought in a million years i would ever do.

Hello Gary.......The 40's flat plate 3 piece models i find are slightly more assertive with the right blade choice....What i personally like about the gillette tech is they are such smooth shavers, especially the earlier models, i couldn't pick a favourite, because each and everyone that i have is a joy to shave with.

Yeah I'm trying to avoid ordering anything from outside the EU, to avoid customs and such, which will limit the options a bit.
I'll probably go with the T2 then!

I'm trying to keep the costs at a reasonable level, to save a bit of money for possible emergencies and such.

1st gen Camaros are cool. My fathers friend has a 69, with a 350 under the hood.
Plenty of car enthusiasts around here.
Haven't really counted, but it feels like I see more old american cars than european ones of the same age. Of course a lot of european ones have rusted away or been wrapped around a tree during a rally.. And I'd guess that enthusiasts import more classic american cars than european ones

Super Sunday shave Barry! Proraso is a great soap imo. I an at the bottom of the container in my Proraso. I noticed that the menthol kick got stronger as the lifespan of my soap is nearing the end.

That's true, but Daniel specifically stated that shipping costs was a major factor and that's why I mentioned it.

Thank you Joe....As a sophisticated, gentlemanly, goo shave Barbasol passes the test.

I guess your wife beats me out in the Sandpiper commentary, but I do like it very much.

A better shave this morning than yesterday, but I can't give it top honors, as I just felt a big miss down at N. Cactus Nation (just under the jaw). Fine everywhere else. The Barbasol isn't coming out as squiggly as before. Perhaps the closer it gets to the bottom, the better the chance to see it look like a cloud. Frank Sinatra's favorite aftershave came out a bit like Niagra Falls(but not as bad as Aqua Velva). I "caught" most of it before it hit the sink. Great scent. It may work in the hot weather, as there is a certain coolness to it. Most Excellent for this morning. I hope I enjoyed my "Throwback Week" selections more than you did. (OOps, that came out wrong, lol).

I just had another look at the Hendricks website. Wow, their soaps are more expensive than Bill Neumann's. I never thought that could be possible. 5 oz. for $35 whereas Bill's 8 oz. soaps ask for $28. All I can say is, Hendrix soaps better be that good! Nice selections though.

Paul, I just went on the Hendricks Classic and Co. website. I checked their soaps and they are 21 dollars for 5 oz. Pete Hendricks fills these tubs to the very top so you are getting at least 7 oz so it is a good value. However, you probably checked the Bay Rum and it was listed at 35 dollars. I believe it is a typo. I would contact them and ask why it is so much compared to the other soaps. I know you don't like clovey Bay Rums and that is what piqued your interest. Again, I would contact them.
