Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple Pure Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Face Lather.
Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap.
Blade: Derby Premium. (D2)
Razor:Edwin Jagger DE 89. (Kelvin)

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB./ Milton Lloyd London 2000 EdT.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Derby Premium/EJ DE 89 duo paired together wonderfully feeling smooth & efficient.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfortable shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No9 EdP to the chest & pulse points.

My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.

Either the blade was dull my technique was bad . The blade was cutting but not smoothly. I can feel my skin starting to get irritated.

ok.blade was tensioned well?.i use my popular infrequently.so just asking..

 

I think so, anything remotely against the grain felt more like scraping so i had to buff more

ok.should feel similar to a brit oc 'crat with a light handle,head haevier.milder than a 2nd gen .

The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher with a Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I resally wanted to like that Chiseled Face, but in the end I found I wasn't too thrilled with mixing Wild West and Barbershop scents. I didn't HATE it, but I got too excited aabout in the first place;.

 

What do tankers do when their tanks are on auto-pilot.....make coffee? Play cards?

DE SOTD, Sunday April 3rd 2022, A different kind of shave this morning with a Yaqi Beast 2 variant. Good change up for a Sunday and was putting some of my Yaqi razors to a different use in experimenting.

Razor : Yaqi Beast 2 variant- Mfg 2022, Mellon head top cap with a Flipside base plate, lots of blade feel, nice smooth shave. Nothing over the top for blade exposure or feel. Feels like Gillette Fatboy on setting 9 for blade feel. Excellent shave this morning on 24 hr growth.
Blade :Gillette 7oClock SP, black(2) excellent blade, sharp & smoooth with reasonable
Soap :Razorock Lavender- great lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.(discontinued)
Brush :Yaqi 24mm timber wolf mysterious space handle- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis AS with aftershave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my Yaqi Beast 2 variant with a 7oClock SP.
