Old Gillettes are really cool, there are worse things one could collect.. Techs are good razors, I had two but gave one to a friend. Now I just have the british one which is mostly aluminium.
Great shave and a wonderful plan for the month Ken. I had a similar problem with my phone camera. I had to make sure I had enough to crop so that the final pic is under 1MB. Make sure the camera is about a foot and a half away before you snap the pic. You will have enough to crop because you are including areas that will not be in the final pic that is cropped. Hope this helps
Thanks Joe....I'm slowly beginning to move my warm/hot weather products to the front of the "bus"(den).
We'll see how it will go! I am also a bit curious how a Mühle R41 would compare to my Game Changer .84 JAWS.
Dang! I have a problem then! I currently own 15 razors. A couple I probably won't ever use again tho...I really like my more aggressive razors the most. I feel like I made an accomplishment by shaving this morning with my Muhle R41 and a Feather blade. No cuts and no razor burn. VERY pleasant shave. I plan on using for the rest of the week. I can get as many as 7 shaves from the Feather blades. The Beast!
I own the Parker Semi-Slant Bar razor and I like this one too. I have yet to try it with a Feather Blade tho. But, if I can shave with my Muhle R41 with a Feather blade, I should also be able to do it with the Parker. I get nice shaves with the Parker
I have actually looked at these before, and they are nice looking razors. I've heard good things about them too. At the moment I prefer open comb razors and I like a good amount of blade feel, even though my beard is on the lighter side. You are making me more curious about the R41..
I, too, like to feel the blade. The R41 is now one of my favs using the Feather blades. You most def will feel the blade with the Parker. So far, I have only used the Parker with milder blades. It too is a beast! But that R41 gave me such a nice shave this morning! With Col Conks Bay Rum
@MrDaniel's and others, If you are looking for a Mühle R42, then may I suggest a Mühle R101 (black resin handle) or an R102 (white resin handle). They both have the R41 cap and base plate so it really is an R41, but with a different handle and they are less than half the cost of an R41. Here is my Mühle R102:
Assuming that they would be roughly the same price and you could pick only one, which would you get? I've heard good things about Col Conk, especially about the slickness
Over here R41, R101 and R103 cost the same, 31,90€ from the vendor I usually get my razors. R102 isn't available there at the moment. That is a very good tip for anyone in the US!
