Shave 20/30. The weather is pretty bad, wet and not exactly warm, so I decided to heat up the sauna and had a nice shave right after. One weeper, which didn't require alum.

I decided to use Skin Bracer, because menthol feels great after 90°C/194°F sauna. I'm on my last bottle, and probably can't find more, so I'm trying to use it somewhat sparingly.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

Lather: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square
    Additional Care:
Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square EdT
    Stirling Alum Block

Wonderful shave this morning with the GLS. This is one of my favorite soaps which I know I should use more often. I have too many quality soaps in the den.

Three passes with the Wester Bros. Straight has left the face and neck smooth and irritation free. The splash and EdT have me smelling g good for the day. Fortunately, Paul, @Paul Turner, I am not heading to Aisle 16. Could cause all sorts of bedlam.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  15. Hands down, the Muhle R41. I do like the Parker but, I like the R41 more. I can see why many like the Feather blades. And yes, the soap is VERY slick. I kept dropping the brush! LOL I got soap all over my shirt!
  16. I might have to get the R41 some day then! The price difference over here is just two euros. It would probably be a good razor for one pass CCS shaves for me.

Feather blades are very good indeed!

Ha! That's why I do not shave with a shirt on!
  17. I have my things laid out for tomorrow's shave. Muhle R41 with Feather blade again. Rose TOOBS shaving cream (really NICE scent). The TOOBS pre-shave Gel is nice. I decided to fire Mickey from the job of measuring the soap to whip (cut him off the spoon) Disney has bad vibes right now....he is relegated to keeping an eye on my blades on the magnet now. I really don't care if I destroyed the value of the spoon....I think Disney already destroyed that! My ex collected Disney crap and she missed this one so, I use to measure soap now. Perfect size! It is basically a baby spoon and perfect size to measure soap for the whipping bowl (perfect amount)

UPDATE: I almost forgot to mention the brush! It's a Simpson Trafalgar synthetic brush in large size. I like this brush. I now have 3 synthetic brushes and I am amazed at how nice they are! I do like my 2 badger hair brushes too (Simpson) but, I really like these now. (I have 5 brushes!)

  18. Great setup. Tobs is good stuff, I have a tub of the peppermint myself.
  19. I really like Taylor's of Old Bond (some say TOBS and others say TOOBS). I have a few and still need to get the rest of the scents. I have Almond, Rose, and Lavender now. That pre-shave gel is nice but a bit pricey. I wanted to try since it is Taylor's. Lots of good stuff comes from UK! My ancestors are from the isles. (Scotland, Ireland, England with a sliver of Norway and even Iceland in me!) I am mostly Scottish 37% and Irish 26%, and English/NW Europe 25%. Mutt really...LOL
  20. I've been thinking about trying Jermyn Street.

I agree, plenty of great stuff comes from UK!

That's pretty cool! I don't know a ton about my ancestry, but at least during the 1500s my mothers ancestors were already living in northern Karelia. Not very far from the Russian border. My fathers side of the family lived in eastern parts of Finland too, but both my parents were born in Espoo (that must be a funny name for you english speakers!), which is where I live. Right next to the capital, Helsinki. A lot of people moved over here after WW2 to get jobs.
