Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Chantry Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: Lider Turkish Boar.
Face Lather.
Frankenlather: Arko + palmolive classic shave stick ends. (Grated)
Blade: Derby Premium. (D4)
Frankenrazor: Yaqi DOC Head/Schmidt R10 Handle.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Selin Lemon Cologne./Arko Comfort ASB.

Early Morning Shave,

An excellent Turkish themed shave to finish my shave week off wonderfully.

Love or hate them, the lather that these two classic shave stick's create is absolutely fantastic..

Last use of the Derby premium.... My reacquaintance with the Derby premium throughout the week has been a pleasant surprise....The franken-razor/derby premium blade duo performance was superb.
A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Arko Comfort ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

today is a bit warmer in istanbul, so i decided to wake up proraso green from winter hibertation

soap: proraso green
razor: DE89
blade: rapira
brush: yaqi butterscotch
a/s: alum block + boom butter cream

i really missed eucalyptus in proraso green, menthol is nice but eucalyptus...oh boy
the cold rinse after third pass was so fresh, i dont like summer heat but those menthol shaves are something you can enjoy in winter, they make summer bearable for me

I am off to the high school today so I've decided to use the same setup as yesterday.
Got the same results as yesterday’s shave. No surprises. This is my 4th Arko and Adjustable shave. I am halfway home completing my commitment for this month's theme. Lol! Enjoy your day!

Todaay, I decided to use that last Muhle blade in my R41. Land Ho from Captain's Choice and Proraso after shave balm.

I do NOT like these Muhle blades!

 

Ouch! That's a shame Hogie. I started with a Dovo Shavette three and a half years ago and the company supplied me with the Mühle blades. Obviously, I didn't know if they would work for me in a shavette because it was the first time using these blades. Truthfully, I never had a problem with the blades. I even used them in my DE razors and didn't have a problem as well. It is a your mileage may vary thing. I will say that I remember getting at least 4 shaves, possibly 5.

 

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you got a "bad" (meaning bad from the factory) blade (highly unlikely), you cut yourself, not the Mühle blade. User error.

 

I have not cut myself in a while now. My technique has not changed. I shaved the same way I always do and same way I did with Feather blades. So, I was surprised to have cut myself in 4 spots! The R41 will go back on the shelf for now...next week I will use my 1956 SS Fare with a Feather blade. I get 4 shaves from Feathers. I have 3 Muhle razors but, this is the first time I have used their blade in the R41. I will be 66 on Friday the 15th.

 

Hopefully the next shave will be better. Love the cat

 

I feel like with some blades I have to concentrate more in order to not get weepers or cuts. Not sure why that is, or if I'm imagining the whole thing.
