I'm not sure how to describe the scent so, I will let the ad say it:
This fresh, soothing scent possesses hints of citrus with a background of lavender. Savor the subtle complexity of this masculine aroma with its cheerful personality.

I like Lavender so, I had to try it.

This morning's shave was nice. It's always nice when I use a Feather blade. Soap of the day is Sir Hare & Proraso pre-shave cream. I used my huge Simpsons synthetic Trafalgar T3 brush to lather in my bowl. Proraso Sandalwood to finish. I always get a pleasant shave when I use Feather blades. I recently bought a 100 pack of them blades!

No nicks and just a tiny bit of sting on my neck where I nicked it yesterday with that nasty Muhle blade! I always rub the alum block on my face after rinsing my face. Run alum block under cold water. Really feels nice on my face. My skin is in the best condition now that it has been in YEARS!

Using this beast of a razor was just as nice as shaving with the R41 with the same blade. This one will now stay in my rotation!

The razor is a Shave Nation SN250

I am in the high school today. I decided not to shave this morning. By the end of the school day, I will look a little scruffy with my 32 hr stubble. However, I will stay unshaven until tomorrow because I want to use one of my traditional straights. I am leaning toward one of my vintage C-mon razors.

I am well stocked with blades. I like many of the blades coming out of Egypt (Shark, Crown). I bought a 100 pack of Shark, Crown, and Feather blades. I like the Astra too

A wonderful shave set up Hogie..A night and day difference from yesterday's Muhle blade experience...The Shave Nation SN250 remind's me of my Parker 24c head/Parker 98r handle duo. I have a passion for Parker Razors, ten in total!:shocked003:..The three piece models i find more efficient than the TTO models.....Glad to see your getting along with the Feather blades. I personally arn't a great fan of them, i find them over-sharp over priced ,and burn out too quickly.DE blades have to be the most subjective topic in the the tradtional wet shaving world.

I have learn't you can't pronounce any verdict on any blade /razor after just one shave. You may say you don't like either after one shave and that's valid, but there is no way you can judge a blade or anything, really, after a single use...Maybe in time you can give the Muhle blade another try as i did with the love/hate 'Derby Extra' which now i occasionally add to my blade rotation along with other various blades i didn't gel with when i first started out.

I am of opinion that most DE blades on the market today are pretty good. There are exceptions, of course, but the main brands are all pretty good. The issue with blades is that not every blade works for every person. Hair type, skin type, shaving technique, etc. All comprise a very unique and personal situation for every shaver. Determining what blade consistently works and what does not is part of the fun of DE shaving IMHO.

Enjoy your day, and have great coming weekend. Take care. Barry.:happy088:

I too love the Parker razors. My favorite Parker is the 94R. Good helf and solid handle that you won't lose grip of DSCN3897.JPG DSCN4039.JPG .

:love055:..The 94R for it's size is a hefty powerhouse!..It's wonderfully balanced with a great heft. I'll have dig out a Feather from my blade collection and pair it up with the small but but mighty 'Indian princess' powerhouse, something i have never tried before.
PS: Give Theodore a stroke for me.;)

I now use no other blade in my 94R. Perfect match, IMHO
VERY aggressive razor. I like to feel the blade.

I think the biggest improvement to my shave was when I switched to cold water rinse of the razor instead of hot. A hot blade cuts skin easier. It makes sense to do warm/hot everything except for the razor rinse/temper under cold water.

Once I started doing this, I nick myself a lot less.

IMG_20220408_155148_063.jpg Now I have some new toys to play with. I might have to give the razor a try tonight, just to be sure it works ;)

Another fine shave this morning, closing out the Simpson's-Vetiver team(but I may keep'em available this summer). For the most part it was another RUBBER-STAMP shave,(compared to yesterday), but I had a different brush(The Clubman-Pinaud)and I closed with my favorite fragrance(Mutamayez by Swiss Arabian). The Clubman is a small brush(similar to the Stoylin "li'l brudder"). Never understimate those small brushes :). It was a great shave in most areas, save for Ingrown Swamp at N. Cactus Nation-always tricky. No Cuts, Knicks, or Poka-dots. Monsieur Guerlain's Vetiver A.S., then the Swiss Arabian to finish off. Outta This World Excellent.

I have read that what you experienced was reiterated by other wetshavers. Apparently, this method of shaving is relatively new. I am a cold water shaver for 9 months of the year so I am good during that time.

It looks pretty cool. A bit shorter and a lot lighter than the Game Changer I've been using.
