Great Alabama awesome shave kit, photo and commentary, Danny! Royal Copenhagen really takes me back! Used to wear it a lot in the late 70s and early 80s. Enjoy your day

I don't mind being called Hogie. I adopted it to respect my dad. His first name was Hogan and everybody called him Hogie. My mom stopped me from being Hogan Gary and instead I am Gary Hogan. Couldn't settle on a good pic to use for avatar so, I now have me on my bike. The music has died pretty much. All the venues I used to play at are shut down now and it's not the same without the guys.

Engineering is math. So is music. I got taken from one field and decided to pour into the music. I had several good years...COVID destroyed much!

It’s a great way to shave with an adjustable, Hogie! Have you ever shaved with a straight or a shavette/barber’s razor?

    good morning gents
fine shave this morning but the aluminum tech ran out of steam-blade wise.
had 2 days of growth as l didn't shave yesterday.
fabulous slick trumper's lather and the razor just bounced off the whiskers..:D,felt like a bic disposable.
blade was spent ,possibly razor too light..but..
i keep my slim head brit flaretip locked and loaded for back up and it came to the rescue.
knocked down the whiskers in no time flat.
my technique works well with heavier razors so..
    a fine shave it was..
will stick with what i know and like.
off to the display case with the tech for now.;)

    ***
i won't condemn a razor for poor prformance as it really is just a blade holder,
but my favorite razors all seem to be in the 50-80 gram range-techs to 'crats
so my lightweights rarely get used.
anyhoo.fine aftershave to finish and on to morning coffee
    have a great day everyone..

I have never tried a straight razor. I don't want the responsibility of sharpening one. I have thought about the Feather "Artist Club" razor. I seem to like the more aggressive shavers. I have 3 adjustables now. I may try one next week set on 9.

    Fine shave, Gary!

    Bic disposable :D
I use those when I travel and don't want to mess with a DE. Still with a soap and brush though!

Nice shave Gary. I know Trumper's is a good cream soap, but I am more of a croap/soap guy.

    Thanks Danny!
I think the Gillette ones are even worse. At least the ones I tried last time were awfully rough. The Bic isn't exactly great either, but I can get a decent shave with those. :D

Naw, Bill was bluegrass! Too much bluegrass around me here so, I do old country music (Cash, Haggard, Jones, etc)
I was part of a BG band but, the banjo drove me nuts so, I left! Why are they in such a hurry to finish the song???
