A very good Throwback Thursday shave this morning, with Barbasol sophisticated goo, followed by Bill Neumann Signature 1907 A.S. The Barbasol must be nearing the bottom, as it comes out more like a cloud now than a snake. Good :). I had more than enough to cover my face and neck. Cheeks and sideburns good. I did better at S. Porcupine than North. I'll put a special focus on North tomorrow. Cactus was fine, save for an area along the border of Cactus and S. Porcupine, alongside Ingrown Swamp. It's always given me fits-thus jt's another area for a special focus tomorrow. At the beginning, I could see some red stuff developing at S. Porcupine, but the Bill Neumann A.S. (and the cold-water rinse prior to Bill) knocked that away. Most Excellent.

Thanks Daniel...y'know, I bet a shave soap would have solved the issues I described. Just a brief magnificent goo break.

    Fine shave, Gary!

As you are describing the Volvo as a rocket, I'm sure it has a V8 or a massive turbo or something. Or both. :D

I had a 1969 Chevelle SS396 that I got with many new parts. I was restoring it. When my ex left, she took all the money so, I sold it. I could never afford to do the work (especially the paint!) My Harley is my hotrod now!

the volvo is a rocket..was a turbo.now has a hot b23e engine, shaved, ported head to up compression, big valves, big cam, modded fuel injection etc,etc.180 hp that turns on instantly.car is completely solid bushed, lowered, bilstiens, big bars and braces,410 gears and 5 speed.lots of cars faster but this thing rides on rails.fun city car that takes many by surprise..:D:eatdrink047:

SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, APRIL 14, 2022

Completed the touch up on this Gipson Katsumi 14/13 myself last night. Personal progress continues! My thought this morning and last night are of the maker of this fine razor, Andrey of Gipson Razors, as he joins his Ukrainian countrymen in fighting back against the genocidal Putin and his cronies. My prayers are with Andrey and his family. The razor represented Andrey’s homage to the Saito SK series of Japanese straight razors. The mug shave with this smiling razor, the widest I own, always involves a bit more care, but the result was delightful smoothness.

The dome shave featured one of my two AC safety razors, one I’ve owned for several years, the Blackland Vector. Although not it’s original intent, this safety razor is ideal for noggin shaving. When equipped with a Feather Super AC blade it delivers a magnificent head shave. The razors thin head design was revolutionary. It's been a consistent source of success for Blackland Razors. It is very welll engineered and feels great in hand. The usual two pass ATG dome shave left me glassine smooth from noggin to neck!

RAZOR: Gipson Katsumi 14/13 (Mug), Blackland Vector (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather Super AC
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: RazoRock Black Synth Rubberset Replica
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a splash of Chiseled Face Natural AS.
