From a big blade to a small, midi-sized blade. Very clean result but I think the light weight blades get stuck easier. Maybe it was the lather but I don’t think so. :happy088:

First time out with one of the Joseph Rodgers set razors - the other is not honed yet. My objective was to not widen the bevels on these unused razors. The bevel angle was 16.5 degrees, and one layer of Scotch electrical and one layer of 1 mil Kapton gave me an angle of 18 degrees and achieved my objective, visually the bevels are as new.

Software was Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet, and a Keyhole 3 did the lathering.

Gorgeous Rodgers set Steve! It is amazing when something like that can stay beautifully preserved… it has found a proper home. :eatdrink047:

13/16 Le Jaguar Systematique, soap was MdC rose lathered with. Semogue Galahad and D.R. Harris Pink AS finished up a great shave.

I have not had this razor out in a while, and there are probably quite a few people who have not read the backstory unless they’ve jumped into the ‘Wayback Machine’ recently, lol. It is not often that you can buy an old razor and know most of the provenance, but this one came with papers. It was unused when I received it, and was ordered from Champredon-Cognet & Fils on March 31st 1955. The name of the customer has been blacked out, but since this card was typed with a typerwriter, the name is fairly easy to see. The black and white card is a silver gelatin photograph.

The original scales were unfortunately unfit for the razor, so Alfredo to the rescue with some classy black horn.
