    Good evening!

    Shavette Shave #357
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (4)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
    Proraso Green SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs

I know this is a late shave, but I wanted to get it in to remember my father's birthday. He would have been 95 today.

Everything went well with this shave and surprisingly, this blade is still sharp despite the fact it was part of the same blade that I tossed from my Dovo after its 4th shave. Needless to say, there is still life in this blade.

Two passes have me an error free near BBS result. Had little singing from the alum. Finished with the witch hazel and matching aftershave application. I believe that my Proraso has one more shave before it is completely consumed. Looking forward to it. Anyway, have a great evening.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

It's been a while since i last used the La Toja shave stick and forgot how good of a lather it provided leaving a good post shave feel.

The Parker razor/ Feather blade duo continued to work together wonderfully still feeling very smooth and efficient.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

IMG_20220419_140955_826.jpg I tried a Dorco ST-301 in my flare tip, and was positively surprised. It does not feel like the sharpest blade ever, but it's very smooth. I'll have to experiment more, but the first impressions were very good. I would expect these to do well in the Fatip slant.

It was really nice to use a mentholated cream and to follow up with the Aqua Velva. No burn at all.

I'll probably skip shaving for a day or two to get more growth going, I usually get the best shaves when I do so. Then I might give the La Toja stick a go.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

Hi Tolga. I have Tabac tallow in stick form and I have always made nice lathers with it. I am surprised that you are not getting good lathers with it. I would think yhat you're not hydrating it enough because Tabac loves water. Enjoy your afternoon.

Very nice shave, pic, and setup Daniel. I have never tried Dorco ST 301 blades because they are not sharp enough for me, but I am glad they work for you.

Thanks, my friend! My overprotective bride thought I was slurring my words and had a strange gait! The next thing I know my paramedic son, Sam, shows up and I find myself rushed to the Rehab Hospital where they poke and prod me for most of the day!

Thanks, Joe! It's nice to have a few different kinds of blades on hand. I can get a decent shave with just about any blade ranging from Derbys to Feathers, but my preferred blades are Bic Chrome Platinums. I don't shave ATG though, to avoid ingrown hairs, that's where I would expect the less sharp blades to struggle.
