  7. 100 Wilkinson Sword blades made in India. My new favorite. :)
  8. Didn't do a hundred but did 50 Feathers. Gets my stash up to a hundred or so blades.
  9. My latest 100 blade purchases were Astra SP from The Razor Company and Wilkinson Sword made in Germany from eBay.
  10. i am new to wetshave, the only 100pack is Rapira. it is sharp enough for a clean shave, but not as aggressive to irritate daily 3passes shave.
  11. It was an enjoyable shave this morning!

That drawer is 8 inches deep. ;)

I kind of close my eyes and grab whatever is on top, Feather, Yellows, Blue Box Platinum, Israeli Reds, Med Preps, and anything else in an arms reach. I have BIG BOXES of blades. :D:eatdrink047:
  14. that was my way until recently..grab a blade and it just shaves well in any razor i pick ,usually different daily.;).i want to try and use a picked razor the full three shaves i use the blade for, then pick another razor-load a new blade..less switching blades about..something different..:D
  15. Well, not 100.

250 Wizamet. Reasonable price. They work well I'm my milder razors.
  16. Gillette 7 O'CLOCK SharpEdge(Yellows)

Some of the sharpest and smoothest made, and I have tried most everything. Next best thing to buying vintage late 60's blades. These cost just under $15.

  20. Back, many years ago, I kept track of how many shaves I could get from a blade. I was a part of a group that tried to push the limits.
With proper techniques, a good blade lasted me between 35-45+- shaves, before the shave degraded. With some, 15+-. From what I remember, here are some, off the top of my head.
    Long lasting:
    Vintage Wilkinson Sword Super Swords
    Vintage Gillette Spoilers
    Gillette 7 o'clock Yellows
    Personna Med Prep
    Gillette Silver Blue

Oh, and the Holy Grail of DE Blades. IMHO, over rated. No better than the best vintage from the above list.
    Vintage Personna 74.

    Medium Lasting 10-15
    Voskhods
    Personna
    Feather
    Rapira
    Astra
