Fine shave with the Mühle Aloe soap this morning. The Dorco blade still feels sharp and smooth. No nicks, cuts, weepers, irritation or anything like that. Just a nice and easy, smooth shave.

Today is a somewhat warm day, so I decided to go with the Aqua Velva.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

    Shavette Shave # 171

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Razor Retro Shavette
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Smokeberry
Aftershave: Los Jabones de Joserra Gredos
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block

The final full day in the Sun. Someone has to get back to work on Monday who is not a member of the MOLC or any other LC.

Thos morning’s shave feature the Parker, the LWSC Smokeberry and the Gredos splash. The splash and soap pair very nicely. Three passes where basically on point with that delayed weeper of the past two days maki g an appearance again after the post shave. No big deal. My face is super smooth just the way SWMBO likes it.

I hope you have a great day gentlemen.

I did a face lather today with my short stubby Simpson brush. I used Colonel Conks Bay Rum. Pleasant shave. I will have to do this more often. Parker 87R with a Parker blade

Returned to Stoylin Spice this morning. The shave wasn't great, but good for the most part. I brought out the "Clubman-Pinaud" brush for the job today. While it was fine in general, it failed to prevent me from getting a Knick at N.Porcupine Alley, and a Cut at South Porcupine Alley. There was no bleeding, but the redness showed. Great at the cheeks&sideburns. Ditto for Cactus Nation. Perhaps it was due to the size of the brush(the Stoylin Pro-Handle, for instance, is the Clubman-Pinaud on double steroids), that led to the Cut&Knick, but on the other hand those were the only negative issues, as I described earlier. Ahhh, all right, I'll blame it on my technique-too much pressure in the red areas. This leads to an investigation-when I use larger brushes, do I perform better than with small, relative to Cuts, Knicks, and Polka-dots? The larger the brush, the less likelihood of red stuff? We shall see. Anyway, nice work with the Stoylin Spice aftershave. I didn't use as much as yesterday, as there wasn't much tingle action. No need for a post-shave cologne, unless I had Old Spice Shulton, which I don't. Very Excellent.

Does "Upstate New York" begin at the first step you take outside of NY City?

Hi, I wondered if there is somewhere to talk about Vintage electric shavers, I have recently come into a box of them and this seems the place collectors would like to see them :)

Hi @Ryans things -I began as a vintage electric shaver(Norelco, I think). On to wet shaving now, but I'd like to see what you have. Welcome to TSD.
