You're a natural. I am just saying that if someone has at least 2 years experience with DE shaving, then it would be less of a chance for them to cut themselves using Feather blades.

I tried a Feather as a new wetshaver, and it wasn't bad at all! The razor was very mild though, I think that made it easier.

I do understand what you are saying. I wouldn't recommend Feathers to a new safety razor user either.

This morning, I had the Barbasol Pacific Rush cream and Vetiver(Guerlain)A.S. Perhaps I didn't shake the Barbasol enough, as it struggled to get its way out at first. Will shake more tomorrow. Once things settled down, I got a good amount onto tue face and neck. The good news-no cuts and Knicks, but one polka-dot. Amazingly there was no further damage to the bad cut from yesterday. I did miss a bit on the left cheek-another chore to fix tomorrow. Course this could be the difference between shaving cream and shaving soap...if you have misses with the latter, most likely the technique is to blame. The Vetiver was a nice finish, though you have to be careful pouring it out. It isn't as bad as Aqua Velva in that persuasion, but still tricky. Doc Guerlain did a nice job creating this one. Very Excellent.

SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, APRIL 24, 2022

Lovely day here in the Philly suburbs. Will be celebrating Orthodox Easter with some Serbian friends later today. Grabbed a straight razor for my mug shave I haven’t shaved with in some time, the Simmons Hardware 4/8. The Solingen steel blade on this little beauty never disappoints! Two and a half passes set the tone for the noggin shave with my faithful Eclipse Red Ring. German bombs destroyed the tooling for this little Sheffield marvel. It incorporated a hybrid comb along with a magnet at the base of the handle to pick up dropped DE blades. Two ATG dome passes left glassine smooth from neck to noggin and quite ready for this afternoon’s Orthodox Easter celebration.

RAZOR: Simmons Hardware 4/8 (Mug), Eclipse Red Ring (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: West Coast Shaving Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with PAA Rabid Banana Star Jelly.
