Lovely shave, Daniel! After 60 some odd years of scraping my old leathery puss with sharpened metal, I don’t even notice discomfort! ;) Look what you have to look forward to! :D

Great shave, Gary! How are those carbon steel blades treating you? I always strop my any carbon steel blade! Even twenty to thirty palm strops can make a difference. I haven’t shaved with carbon steel DE blades in quite some time. Nice photos! Enjoy your day!

Don’t believe that hard water nonsense, Gary! I've shaved with MWF all over the country and never had a problem. It’s a fantastic soap, but it does take some time to build a decent leather, particularly a bowl lather. It can sometimes take up to two to three minutes to build a decent lather. The trick is to not bloom the soap. A stiff boar brush has always worked best for me. Leave the soap dry and just wet the tip of the brush, preferably in lukewarm water. Flick the excess water off and then spend about a minute swirling the brush on the soap until you pick up a decent coating. Then back to the bowl. You’ll need to spend at least two to two and a half minutes building the lather in the bowl, periodically wetting the brush LIGHTLY and returning to the bowl. Most folks who complain about the soap are impatient. They don’t take the time to properly build the lather and end up with a thin incomplete lather. Easy to blame the water quality! If you spend the time to build the lather you’ll see why so many folks love this soap. The post shave skin benefits are awesome and build over time with continued use.

Thanks Jeff! It was a quick impromptu meeting. I was blessed with good food, comrades and a new addition that Joe C gifted me. He gave me a Micromatic Gem razor with a new blade and case. I will share a pic of it later.

I like these blades. They give me nice close shaves no matter which razor I have tried them in. I bought 4 tucks and will get more when these are gone.SO many different blades to try!

:signs001: Jeff...Your correct the Kent is repackaged they are the same soap...The only difference between them is the Price...Kent is cheaper...I have a fondness for shaving soap that contains lanolin. I'm fortunate that my skin type gets along with it and doesn't have a adverse reaction..The post shave feel & wonderful fragrance from MWF/Kent is fantastic...I also don't have a problem getting an acceptable lather from it either.:happy088:

Location where MWF is manufactured...St Helena Road, Bradford BD6 1QH UK.

Fourth house to the Left,"The one after the privet bush", you can see the sign on the wall..Not the best photo....Considering it's renowned name it's made in a very humble dwelling, like a lot of other superb shaving assortments. Yours-Barry.

Today was our Long Island 30 DC Chapter Meeting. It has been a few months since the last meeting. It was a shorter meeting than usual, but it was nice to see Joe C in person.
Everything was great, but the coffee was bitter once again. I explained to my favorite waitress that the coffee was not good. She came back with new cups of coffee, but alas the same problem. At first, I thought it was me, but Joe had the same experience. Alas, we didn't have our allotted amount of excess coffee. All was not lost. Joe C. surprised me with a new addition to my shaven den. He gave me a Gem Micromatic Open Comb Razor with the case and a fresh Gem blade. I will use it in my next shave. Here are the photos:
