:signs001: Joe...The Old Spice Whitewater is was a P&G new edition, which is now discontinued. Scent wise, to my nose it's more fresher than P&G original take on the classic Shulton version.

Fabulous ATT shave, Danny! Sorry for your difficulties. People like that sometimes can be dangerous when they don’t get their way! Be careful, my friend, and keep the 12 gauge handy!

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

An enjoyable shave to finish my shaving week off in style.

Last outing of the Feather Hi Stainless which has performed wonderfully throughout the week with no blood-loss drama.

My first few shaving experiences with the Feather Hi Stainless where uncomfortable which was down to my lack of shaving experience technique & shaving confidence which had nothing to do with the blade itself.

I was stupidly naive at the time in believing the daunting exaggerated mythological fearsome reputation reviews on them which planted a seed of hesitation in my mind before my first maiden shave with them.

After my two week focus with the Feather Hi Stainless my personal opinion is i cannot deny the maiden head shave at the weekend paired together with the R41 was phenomenally smooth, comfortable, very efficient and was one of the best DE razor face & head shaves that i've had to date...Adding to that the R41/Feather is now is my new found favourite most smooth efficient duo for DE razor head shaving.

My only small crit with them is i was only get 2-3 max good shaves from them after that they quickly lost their smoothness, ok i take into account that head shaving reduces a blade edge & smoothness much quicker when head shaving, that said, i now look forward to using up the remaining 2O+ blades that i have left in future shave that have been gathering dust for such a long time.

As always, this is just my personal opinion and like every other wet shaving soft & hardware, reviews/opinions are very subjective especially DE blades which have to be the most subjective topic within the traditional wet shaving forums....YMMV.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

awesome shave Barry.i have used feather blades relatively late in my shave career, only in the last few months, and only in mild tech razors.fine blades.fine shaves.yes, very subjective.but,i have gotten great shaves with their gillette equivalent; nacet blades.the feather does tend to scare some folks ,including myself.but my initial reluctance was their cost..plus as you know i am a gillette man..;)

:signs001: Gary...I intend to try Feathers in various razors now that i've got over the fear of using them..Your correct in saying the cost of them doesn't justify their cost, even though they are very efficient and smooth. IMHO the gillette nacet, perma-sharp, SharpEdge and a few Subcontinent DE blades are very near to the Feather in efficiency & smoothness, at a fraction of the price.

Now the Fatip finally gets to see some action! It's just as comfortable as the Flare Tip, but more efficient. For me at least. Both do a good job though!

Great shave without any issues. Very enjoyable actually!

I probably won't shave for a couple of days, possible camping trip during weekend. After that it will be nice to see how this razor/blade combination performs for a few days worth of growth.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

I REALLY like the Wool Fat soap!!!! It is now my favorite one! TONS of lather with no difficulty at all! I had read in a few reviews that hard water makes it not lather well. I have hard water and it lathers better than anything else I have! NICE! I will use it for a few days to set the puck in the bowl. I let it bloom with it submerged in hot water in it's ceramic bowl. I was worried that I would drop the bowl in the sink and break it but, it was easy to hold onto. I held it above my lather bowl so all the cream would fall into my bowl and then whipped it in the bowl. TONS of cream in very short order! I saved the bloom water for later washing of my face.

Classic Shaving synthetic brush is very nice.

Pre-shave was TOBS "Herbal Pre-shave Gel". I didn't want to have anything compete with the Wool Fat scent.

Razor was my Fatip open-comb Slant with a Gillette "Silver Blue" blade. Nice blades. Close shave with no nicks or cuts. I did get a little burn but, not bad. I got my upper lip shaved close without nicking. Excellent 3-pass shave. I could have stopped at 2 passes but, I just love the routine!:D

Finished by washing my face with the bloom water from the Wool Fat. Very nice! I will keep doing this. I have seen others here say they do as well so, I had to try.

Finished with Proraso balm and a splash of "Clubman"
