Currently my favourite Razor for a guaranteed trouble free quality Shave. Today was excellent and am set up for a day out officiating.

I find that Shaving with a Vintage SE requires more care and attention than AC/SE Razors do. Today, I found the Shave quite harsh compared with The Claymore Evolution used yesterday, but the actual finish attained was rather good but required more effort .

The Kiss My Face Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #434 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER 3D Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

MMMonday April 25 2020, GEMonday today.

Razor : Gem G bar- Mfg 1955-58, nice mild range, easy to load these types of razors IMO, Brass with chrome coating, easy to work the face and results are excellent.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) excellent blade, Very sharp with excellent longevity , smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Lavender (discontinued) nice mid range lavender scent with excellent lather qualities. Favorite soap 3rd tub.
Brush : Yaqi 24mm Purple haze Mew knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem G bar with a coated Gem blade.

ASRazor shave, April 26th 2022

Razor : Gem 1912- Mfg 1921 model, Excellent mid range, well built to the test of time, nice feel in the hand, I receive nice shaves with my 4 different 1912 models that where built in the millions.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Lavender(discontinued) nice mid range scent of lavender + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi 22 mm "Ever Helpful" 2 band badger, Designed to scrub, excellent lather generator, soft pillow like tips, excellent scrubber + good painter. If you like a soft tipped scrubber for shaving this one should be high on want list IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem 1912 model with a coated Gem blade.

Razor : Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021>, nice simple design, tame mid range, small head parts, some manual top cap adjustment when clamping(easy) + I get consistent stellar shaves with this razor.
Blade : Schick proline p30- Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX - nice fresh scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Cavern lake 24mm Tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 chin weeper= Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick p30 AC blade.
