It's the last day of April so I decided to bring out my Wosty near wedge because it hasn't been used for some time. I also picked Stirling Barbershop SS because I am a member of a FB page that is having a Barbershop Day Event. I am supposed to do a shave using a Barbershop scent and download a pic of the gear.
Anyway, Stirling Barbershop is medium scented and does have a nice, powdery scent that is reminiscent of a 1960's barbershop.
I have to say that it takes a little longer to whip up a lather than other Stirling soaps that I have tried, but the final outcome was typical of a Stirling soap. I got a nice, creamy and slick lather.
Did a two pass shave without touchups for a very close and comfortable shave. I didn't get any weepers. At first, I thought I did because I felt the edge bite, but nothing appeared. So, I hit it with the styptic just in case it became a creeper. Applied the alum block and didn't get any feedback and that included the area in question on my neck. Witch hazel and Proraso Green aftershave splashed on my face and neck finished this fine shave. Enjoy your day!

 

Beautiful! However, camping is not for me in warm weather, let alone doing it in below freezing temps.

Awesome shave this morning. This is a new head Yaqi has out and I'm very impressed with the little fellow....fit and finish is excellent. It is a very comfortable mild shaver and for 9 dollars and some change you cannot go wrong.

It is a nice place! It's fairly small, but there is a lot to see.

It certainly is not for everyone. I personally like it, but I wouldn't want to do much colder than this.
Oddly enough, one of the things I enjoy the most when I'm camping, is cooking. Be it on a campfire or a small stove of some sort, I used a Trangia, it's somehow fun. And food tastes better outdoors!

 

I just came home maybe an hour ago, had a hot shower and a shave. Very uneventful one actually, which is a good thing. No issues of any kind, just a very pleasant shave. The Dorco blades seem to work very well in this razor too for me.
