Btw, someone tell me again exactly how it is we're saving money with this hobby?

Yes there are a few I've gotten buying lots. You know they work pretty good. They are a lot stiffer than Boar or Badger, so they work alright for creams. Only so-so on soaps.

Well when you consider one cartridge costs $3, lasts about a week, thats $156 a year, just on cartrides. (thats like a #66!) Multiply that by 50 or how ever many years I have left, and we have $7800, just in cartridges. Then add probably $60 a year on crappy gel. Thats $3000

I figure that what I spend on razors, my son will be able to get back out of them when I die, so that is all justified (in my mind anyway :happy102)

When I spend $11,800 on blades and soaps, and it is not enough to last the rest of my life, that is when I will admit that it isn't saving money. That is when I will use the excuse that it is more enjoyable.
