    No problem, Gary! Lots of guys aren’t interested in the maintenance requirements of traditional straights. I wasn’t either, but at the urging of my son tried it. I now find the maintenance and honing to be almost meditative.

    Two very nice acquisitions Hogie to go along with a fine shave. I have a Kamosori type AC clone as well. Since I started with a folded razor it did take some getting use to handling the razor and comfortably moving it around my face. I just felt a little more balanced with the scales. That being said, over time I learned and muscle memory took over.

    I have one of my grandfather’s Gillette Old Types, and two Gillette adjustables from my dad, a Slim and a Gold Black Beauty. I don’t tend to shave with them much, do so now and then.

Some of y early home brew concoctions I added too much menthol crystals,which results in my face looking like a baboon's arse after the first application..After that,I only added a few sparingly until I got it to safe for my face mixture, with no fear of getting an adverse reaction.. You should try doing some yourself, witchazel, essential oils,and glycerine is good for the mix too.

    That Sheraton is in fine fettle, Gary! Mine has definitely seen better days. I really should unload mine as I never shave with it.
