Just a quick shave this morning, one weeper but no other issues.
Now I'll head off to take some flowers at my grandmothers grave, for mothers day. Even though it's tomorrow, but I want to avoid large groups of people, so I'm going there today.

    Have a great day, gents!

Awesome Supply shave, photo, and commentary, Barry, as always! Hands down, it’s my favorite modern artisan SE Injector. The Parker injector doesn’t come close to matching the Supply V2 shave. I think Supply took a step backwards when they introduced the V3 regular and Pro Adjustable. The Pro Adjustable doesn’t accommodate Schick Injector II twinblades and the regular V3 I sent back. I found it much too mild, even with the efficient plate. As far as I’m concerned it, the V2 with the three dot plate shaves comparably to my Schick E Type. Can’t improve perfection! My noggin shaves are always quite good with this razor, although my favorite still remains my Shake Sharps! Enjoy your day!

I have almost no hair on top but, I dunno if I will shave my whole head. I do shave the top to remove them "Ticklers" that are lone trees in an open field tho...

:signs001: Jeff...It's sounds as though the Supply maker set a precedent with the V2..I myself don't keep up with the "Shaving Joneses ", like with any product it's maker will add a new feature, with ‘Snake Oil Salesman’ jargon to try and sell it to the masses to make a fast buck. But in this case it has bitten the Supply maker in the arse, big time....I quote your good-self, "you can’t improve perfection! . Have a great weekend my Yankee doodle Dandy Friend. :happy088:

No pics today. I did a quick shave using my Razorine "Flatboy" and used Col. Conk "Bay Rum". I have lots of Bay Rum now. One is Bay Rum & Vanilla. I really like this scent!
If I had to pick one razor from all I have to use every day, I would choose the Flatboy. LOTS of blade feel and it shaves CLOSE! I like Col Conk so much, I got more.

Wonderful shave Barry! I agree that it's not wise to push a blade to its limit.

You can always use clippers to keep your hair very short without going sly.

Awesome shave Hogie. I have never tried those soaps, but Ibam sure they are fine products.

SOTD SATURDAY MORNING, MAY 7, 2022

It’s been raining nonstop since yesterday morning, and is slated to continue through tomorrow! What better way to boost one’s spirits than a great shave! I'm really liking the edges coming off the Naniwa SS 12k/Suehiro Debado 20k combo. As a guy who initially was reluctant about personal edge maintenance on his straight razors, I’ve found that honing has evolved into almost a regular night time meditative practice for me before bed.

The Dubl Duck Goldedge was a joy to shave the mug with this morning. I was tempted to go four passes, but quite honestly there was a paucity of whiskers left after just two. So I compromised at two and a half, with the third half pass focusing on just my neck. I realized that the diagonal slicing strokes followed by some selective flatblading cleared away most, if not all, the neck stubble roughness leaving me very smooth. The kind of smooth neck I know my hand will return to over the course of the day.

My favorite modern artisan DE is the Colonial Razor Silversmith. Although I was not a fan of the initial handle that came with the razor, I really like the redesigned handle. So much so that I like to use it with their AC razor, the Colonial General V2. Sadly, both of these models are no longer currently available, but there is a new aluminum DE model under development that will represent an evolved version of the Silversmith. The two pass ATG noggin shave this morning put the icing on the cake and didn’t reopen yesterday’s nick. I’m smooth as a peach, as my Swedish friend, Hans, likes to say about a great shave, from noggin to neck!

RAZOR: Dubl Duck Goldedge (Mug), Colonial Silversmith (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JR Rosewood Handled Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Williams Aqua Velva AS Splash (Spanish Version)

Great shaves Jeff! I think you are pretty brave to use the flatblading technique. Have a good day!

Great shave Jeff! I too find myself wanting to keep going even when there is nothing left to shave off! That soap feels so nice and the blade glides so nice. I never dreamed I would love wet shaving so much. I have gotten pretty good with my DE razors. I will work with these razors for now.

What a lovely gesture, Daniel! I’m sure she must have been a remarkable woman! I hope my grandchildren will feel the same way. Great shave kit! Enjoy your day!

I never used to shave my head until I remarried not quite 7 years ago, Gary. I still remember SWMBO’s “lose the fringe request”. Although initially a bit reluctant, I’ve grown to really enjoy the noggin shaves!
