Nice. What is the scent on the TFS?

 

I wouldn't use an original shavette by them but, I love this safety razor they have. The blade lays flat in it. Lots of blade exposure.

 

I would have to get things a piece at a time. Very expensive to get set up in the beginning with the strop and the stones as well as a good razor. If I was to do it, I would want a really nice vintage probably. It's the same with my music....I went for Martin guitars and even have a Custom Shop 000-18 short scale built just for me. I tend to go all in...it's just who I am. The Razor Emporium razor is prolly not a good starter. A round nose is better for beginners, I read. But, it sure is pretty with the Gold Plating

 

Fantastic shave, Joe! It was me who was curious about your thoughts. The JAWS is a fantastic razor! The current version of R41 is definetly milder (but still excellent).

I have the 2011 version, and find it aggressive, but as I’ve said elsewhere think my Barbasol Floating Head and Eclipse Red Ring to be more efficient.

I've been wondering about those "cola" scents....Bill Neumann has one, actually.

 

Yup, but I’m told the only artificial stones this might work for are the Shapton 16k or 30k, or the Suehiro Gokumyo 20k all of which hover around .5 microns. In fairness, Joe, this was a one off for me. The Filly was already honed. The 5-3-1 (edge, spine, edge) leading strokes include the three middle strop-like strokes. My regular routine include the constroption which goes all the way to .05 microns.

 

i have heard bokers are desirable razors..some alt innsbruck aftershave and "the sound of music" soundtrack..would be stylin'

 

I disagree with the rankings of the Rockwell 6S. I have the 6C and the only difference between the two is that 6S is stainless steel and 6C is not. I would classify setting 6 on my 6C as medium/ aggressive and setting 5 as medium.

 

It is a great problem to experience.
