    Very informative post, Joe.
    I happened to have owned both the RR OC .84 and the Jaws. IMO, the only difference between the two was the amount of "teeth" in the OC. To my face, they shaved exactly the same. I felt not an iota of difference. Sold the Jaws baseplate.
    Comparing the two R41's, 2011 vs. 2013, there is most def© a big "blade feel" difference, and between the 2011 R41 and the .84 OC GC, I give the "aggressive" edge to the Mühle.

    Good advice.
    I would add that when you master the DX, a straight will seem simple to use and LESS aggressive.

    I am not paying this price! I was curious. All the refurbed razors there are over priced

    I guess straight razor shaving ain't for me....I will stick with the DX shavette and pretend it's a straight razor.

    I couldn't do it! I really didn't have to shave but, I LOVE the routine! So, I did a 2 pass enjoyable shave with the Flatboy again and the final & 4th shave using the Japanese Steel Platinum blade. I blended a spoon of lavender with the Sherlock soap and got TONS of cream. I hated tossing half a bowl of cream down the sink! No pics.

    Nice 2-pass. No cuts, nicks, or errors. Edwin Jaggard Sandalwood balm AS.

    IMG_20220509_163237_715.jpg Menthol monday shave. The blade (5th use) seems to have lost it's best edge, but I managed to get the job done anyway, without any irritation. Nice finish with the Skin Bracer.
