I am familiar with Noble Otter, but I have never seen that soap. I like the label. It's a far cry from their usual ones.

I checked it on West Coast Shaving's site before I saw your comment. It seems like a nice scent.

Sometimes it pays to be an unsophisticated Nasal Barbarian. I primarily use three soaps! That way I get to plow my money into razors! :D

Sounds like a lovely shave. And that's a great photo of a very shiny shave setup too!

    Good evening.

I didn't want to shave tomorrow morning so as they say, "There's no time like the present." I am trying to deep-six this soap and will be using it more often. I hope to be done with it by June or July. The scent is very weak at best and the soap is very low structure. However, it is slick so that's the only good thing it has going for it.

Two and a half passes gave me a nice comfortable and close shave. Did get 2 micro weeps, but they disappeared without the alum or styptic pen. The shave was so smooth that there wasn't any alum feedback. Ended the shave with my usual routine. How I wish the matching aftershave had a stronger scent as well. Have a good night.

    Friday, May 13: MWF May

Supply 2.0 injector fitted with Open Comb SE plate; Supply Black Label injector blade (4th or 5h shave)
Jayaruh JR267 burled maple and 24mm boar brush
    MWF
    Alum
Lucky Tiger Face Tonic, then VIBR

    IMG_20220513_201705.jpg

I had a three-day stubble to mow this morning. My everlasting MWF puck (I am trying to finish it off this month) provided its usual slick lather. Two passes gave me a DFS. Alum was silent. A nice bay rum finish.

However, not a totally fabulous shave -- the Supply injector normally does an excellent job, but it was tuggy today on the first pass over my moustache and goatee area. Most injector blades are smooth for at least 10 shaves; this one wasn't. A user on another forum commented that he found the new Supply "black label" blades from Japan might be quite sharp for the first shave, but they degraded faster than most. This is the first one I have used. I think he might be right.

Oh yeah, and the photo I managed to take with my Kindle Fire tablet is total crap -- I will try to do better tomorrow.

Nice shave and post John. I am only familiar with Supply razors via YouTube shavers. I prefer aggressive safeties because I am primarily a straight/shavette shavers. I have heard these Supply razors are in the mild to medium range.

I would say that's about right. The original Supply (1.0 or 2.0) could come with three setting plates. The three-dot "aggressive" plate about equals a wide-open Gillette Fatboy. So more aggressive than a Gillette Tech, but not exactly even close to shavette territory.

The new Supply SE is an open combed injector aimed directly at cartridge crossover or completely new shavers. It's a bit odd because it is virtually impossible to nick yourself with it and yet (in my view) it has the efficiency of a medium DE. I can give myself a very clean shave with it (or rather with the new SE plate added to my old 2.0) with two passes in three minutes or less with no nicks or irritation.

The new Supply Pro is their new dial-adjustable razor (replacing the multi-plate 2.0). It is supposed to be potentially much more aggressive than the original razors, because the dial goes to 6 with the first 3 settings corresponding to the 3 plates of the original razor. I don't know what that actually translates to in practice, because I don't have a Pro and don't expect to buy one. I suspect it might be similar to the difference between a Gillette Fatboy adjustable and a Merkur Futur... but that's just a guess.

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head shave.)

    (Parker InjRzr focus week)

A new shave set up to start the weekend...As i haven't gave much attention to the Parker InjRzr since it became a member of my humble injector razor collection, so i'll be doing a focus week.

The design of the injector razor is wonderful they are solidly built to hold the blade firm & rigid in the razor head with no movement making the shaving experience feel safe comfortable, and smooth with no blade chatter, and very easy to adjust to finding the right shaving angle....As i have mentioned before they are such comfortable smooth efficient shavers and are now my favourite shaving tools for head shaving.

As always the monsavon soap provided a luxurious protective slick lather...The monsavon au lait has to be one my favourite shaving soap to date. It's slick, protective and the post shave feeling it gives is superb making each shave a enjoyable pleasurable experience.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

It was a good shave this morning. I did the whole shave using the DX shavette. I started with a light blade for first pass then switched to the ProGuard for 2 more passes and the cleanup. I got only one nick on my upper lip and a small weeper on my chin. Lip a little sore but I got almost no feedback from the alum bar. Needed leak stop for the lip.

Sir Hare was the soap with Proraso Blue remaining the constant. I still use the balm even tho it's getting hot. I like the balms. Soothing. Lather whipped using my Simpson Trafalgar T3 brush. Nice synthetic brush. I got exceptionally close 3 pass shave with the third pass being a cleanup. I am impressed!

I hope all have a great day!

The first pass with the light blade did not impress me. But, the ProGuard blade got me REAL close in the next 2 passes. Slow and easy goes it and I can get really close with those blades.
