Just got this tub of TOBS Sandalwood shave cream today from a PIF contest I entered in one of the shave groups on Facebook.

 

Saturday’s mail call is from The Razor Company. Today I got a 28mm G5B synthetic shave brush by AP Shave Co.

Superman SE Adjustable Razor, patented 1913. Although originally designed for proprietary blades, it can be used with modern Gem single edge blades. I've heard this can be a quite aggressive razor and the blade gap can also be quite large due to the adjustability, but it is a little ominous and unnerving that the seller also included an old roll of medical gauze in the box with razor. Yikes!

Giant vintage Dunhill wood shave bowl with vintage soap arrived today. As I opened the box it was shipped in and pulled out the shave bowl, I couldn't help but giggle...it's so freaking huge! The outer diameter of the bowl is 8 inches and the cake of soap itself weighs almost 19 Oz. I am unsure of how old this actually is (guessing 1930's/1940's ???), but it does still have a nice light scent off the puck. I'm not very good with describing scents but I think I'm picking up lavender & other florals.

In the photo below I've included a Brit Aristocrat to help convey the size of this behemoth. I'm guessing it was possibly a large store display piece???

Milord? No date code. Gold is worn from doors but handle and knob are near pristine, weirdly. $15.

 

Sealed can so couldn't pass it up. Requires 2x the grounds for decent flavor but it opened with an amazing nutty/chocolate aroma. Modern coffee be crap.

 

Schick Type A Repeating Razor arrived while I was at work today. The brass spare blades tube was pretty tarnished but a little bit of Flitz took care of that in short order.
