Going North-to-South more on Cactus has improved THAT area. But I can't figure out how the "Triangle Of Doom"showed up-too much pressure, but luckily not enough to have them be cuts.

 

I think not going back to areas missed because you end the shave early and too much pressure are your main problems. I realize that you have to use pressure to shave with them, but you have to find the right balance. One other thing that was never mentioned. Is it possible that you go beyond the life expectancy of the carts so that the dull blades also cause you to give you nicks, etc?

I just got an E-mail from Italian Barber about some new soaps. They look impressive, but cost $27 or so, for only 4 oz. That's $9 higher than Bill Neumann's 4 oz. offerings, and just under $1 less than Bill's 8 oz. offerings. I hope I read that right!!!

 

On the life expectancy persuasion, that's why I do one cart per two passes(although I now have "experimented" with making one last for four passes(2 shaves)to save money).

 

I understand and that may be one of the reasons you frequently cut yourself and get the in-grown hairs.. I just wish that there was a way that you can be more comfortable loading a DE in that safety razor because once you learn to use a DE razor, I truly believe most of your shaving problems would be gone. Also, 100 DE blades for 15 dollars is a lot cheaper than carts. You can get 5 shaves on one blade. That's a potential of 500 shaves for 15 dollars. You will be spending 100x over shaving 500x with carts.

 

I know you've suggested that, and I am not above trying the DE again sometime. By the way, I think my cleaning lady HID the Red Tip. Can't find it, but I'm sure it'll show up sometime.

 

I would approach her in a gentlemanly manner and ask if she saw your razor and put it in a place other than your normal set down area.
