That is a beautiful blue on the handle. And Sovereign Fibre, yet!

My Chubby is plain ivory coloured and has mere plebeian Synthetic Bristle, by contrast, although it looks the same. Whatever they call it, it's a great knot-- dense and stiff but soft. I have 17 brushes now -- 7 of them synthetic, 6 badger, 3 boar, and 1 boar/badger mixed. The Simpson's Chubby 2 is one of my favourite brushes and probably my favourite synthetic.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollop's of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

I didn't shave yesterday and I got a bit bored of the R89, so today was R41's turn. The R89 will be a fine travel razor and that's why I bought it, but R41 is the better and more interesting razor of the two, imo. That's why it is going to see plenty of use.

Todays shave was good. I decided to try a new blade for me, Treet 7 days. I'm not sure yet what I think about it, but it did the job well enough. No nicks or irritation.

Proraso green is always nice, and so is Skin Bracer.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

Today was another nice shave with the Feather DX and 2nd use of the Feather ProGuard blade. Washed face with soap and hot water and then applied hot washcloth to the face.

Proraso Blue pre-shave cream. Soap today was the Captain's Choice "Bay Rum" whipped in my bowl with my small Simpson badger hair brush. It was nice building even more lather right on my face with this brush.
The entire shave was done using the DX shavette WTG and ATG. I did have to grab my Fatip with the Bic blade to clean up my right jawline. I just couldn't get that area close today with the DX.

Alum bar gave a little feedback with only one little nick on my chin. I tried really hard not to go to heavy on my lip and didn't cut myself there. I must have gotten a little careless on my chin. Chin and lip are hard areas with the DX.

Pinaud "Clubman" finished it off. I also used a dab of Proraso balm.

I may go back to one of my DE razors tomorrow. That Razorine "Flatboy" keeps tempting me.

. I had a Simpson T2 Badger that I sold along with most of my other Badger brushes, John. I only have three left. Most of my brushes are now synths or boar. The change from “Synthetic Bristle” to “Sovereign Fibre” is just marketing hype. I have a Simpson Duke in Synthetic Bristle. Feels the same to me. Enjoy your shaves!

Nice shave Daniel! I like my R102 (R41), but it wouldn't be me daily driver because it's too efficient. Proraso Green is such a great, inexpensive soap. It lathers well and has that clean, menthol and eucalyptus scent. Have a great afternoon.

The rebranding of the fibers with a regal name is a definite ploy to charge more money. A rose by any other name will still smell as sweet.

Our IT guy was late because his eldest son woke up in a bad mood to say the least.
He needs some of this to set a different morning mood, LOL.

Today's shave was simple: Barbasol cream(Pacific Rush) and Vetiver de Guerlain A.S. A little bit more Barbasol came out than I expected, but when that happens, you just say "Ahhh, I'll work with it". I was just thinking, while I like the Barbasol Pacific Rush, it's a shame that the original Gillette Menthol is gone. Original Rise had a menthol, too. But this was a fine shave. One pass. No Cuts, Knicks, or Polka -dots. The excess Barbasol allowed me to be sure I wasn't missing anything at the face and neck. The Vetiver A.S. was nice for a "cool" day like today. Finished with Pierre Cardin fragrance. Outta This World Excellent.
