Now there are 3 Techs. Brass open comb. I cleaned it up and had to straighten one of the teeth. It must have been dropped. The big tooth on one end. I slowly tweaked it without cracking it. All better now. I may try it out tomorrow. It came with 3 tucks of Astra Green blades. I think it cleaned up nice. The handle does have small cracks at the tube ends tho...:(

    SRS # 693 - PAA Week

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Lather: PAA Malbolge
    Aftershave: PAA Malbolge

Fantastic Ti shave this morning. My first straight to arrive in the den in 2002 continues to perform exceptionally well. I admit that when I received this razor I was a bit intimidated to use it on a consistent basis. Initially, it did not deliver very close shaves. At the time I did not realize that it need to be honed as the factory edge did not provide excellent shaves. It was not until 2017, when I began to use it in earnest, following a proper hone, that I started to receive real good shaves.

I did my usual three pass shave with a wonderful lather with a nice tobacco scent. The PAA scent description is as follows: “Malbolge is a dark spicy blend including notes of tobacco, citrus, anise, musk, patchouli, sugar and black pepper.”

This morning’s alum report was not existent to the point that I thought my face was l”laughing at the alum” saying “That’s all you got”. Periodically throughout the day I am reminded of the scent with subtle unexpected whiffs.

I hope all have a great day gentlemen.

Very nice, Joe! I too love it when the alum bar raises no burn at all. I have had it happen but, now going back and forth between DE and shavette has me back and forth! LOL Nice setup!

I love the simplicity. Brass looks nice too. Yes, I will be careful. Thanks for the warning. So, this is now my oldest razor!
