Thank you Jeff...the good certainly did outweigh the bad.

If I could, then I would! LOL! I think it would be difficult to make one and be quite hefty to maneuver to shave. Most artisans wouldn't take a chance on manufacturing one. Besides, it would be quite expensive. I would name it Paul, short for the Paul Bunyon straight razor.

Dual purpose! Use it to cut up the whole tenderloin you just bought and then rinse off and shave with it!:D

But, doya keep it in the bathroom or the kitchen?

    good day gents
    shave for Gary. @Hogie
fine mitchell's lather built with the restored rubberset
smooth but careful 2 passer in the usual manner.
the old type has great weight and balance with the laurel handle.

the laurel handle was made in the early/mid 30s at this factory.
it was bombed and destroyed during ww2 killing it's owner and some employees.

    SRS # 695 - PAA Week

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Genco-Old Dutch 3/4”
    Brush: Classic Shaving Silver Blue
    Lather: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Aftershave: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Fantastic Thursday morning shave with the first of two Genco razors I have in my den. An awesome three pass shave with the PAA soap/splash combination. The scent profile is as follows:
“Sangre De Drago is a potent, mystical, alchemical blend of Dragons Blood*, Sandalwood, Indonesian Oud (Agarwood), Benzoin, Tonka, Linaloe Wood, Spruce Hemlock, Amyris, Labdanum, Sage, Neroli and Tobacco Absolute.”

I do enjoy the “darker” scent of sandalwood and Oud. The pair of the two is a wonderful combination.

The brush, my first purchased back in the mid 90’s easily whipped up a nice lather. Prior to this brush I had used my father’s Ever Ready 200T with a boar knot that I swiped as a teenager. It has since been restored with a synthetic knot.

We are having another comfortable day here on LI with mild temperatures and low humidity which is perfect for finishing up my mulching chores. The yard as well as the oool is looking good.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
