Thanks Gary! I bought this razor in early 2019. I saw it on Eric Latta's Adventures in Wetshaving Channel while he was shaving with it. It was white with a black spade inlay and I knew that I wanted one. I got it on Ebay, but the seller only had the black scales so I purchased it. Now, you can't get one in decent condition for under 100 dollars. I am glad that I bought it at the time.

A new shave set up to start the weekend.

The razor & blade duo was absolutely fantastic....Super smooth and efficient...I wasn't sure if the Derby Usta would pair together with R41, How wrong i was. They paired together excellently...Wow!
The Nivea Men Sensitive Pro shaving cream provided an excellent lather with little effort.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No.10 EdP to the chest & pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

It's difficult to shave at too steep of an angle with a disposable razor.

It was a fine Saturday shave. Washed my face with warm washcloth and then applied HOT washcloth to my face to prep.
The Proraso Blue is getting low and almost gone. Mitchell's Wool Fat was the soap. The Simpson Trafalgar T3 brush was good for face lathering.

I couldn't resist so, I used the Feather DX to go WTG on my cheeks and finished with the Parker 94R with a BIC blade (2nd use). I got a nice 2-pass shave and really close! The Trafalgar T3 brush was a good choice for the face lathering. The alum bar raised no feedback so, I did good today. No cuts, nicks, or weepers.

I used brush squeezings to wash my face when all was said and done. A dab of Proraso balm feels nice. Proraso AS to finish.

That 94R is a really nice razor!

That's true, however, I was speaking in general as to why cuts, etc. happen for the benefit of the new members.

The Sheffield Cast Steel French Point blade on this old Boker indicates manufacture prior to the German Import Tariff of 1879. In any case this old girl is one heck of a shaver. While the Huntsman crucible steel process doesn’t hold an edge as long as the harder Swedish, Yasuki or Tamahagane will, the touchup last night restored the buttery smooth edge I remembered. Three slow passes with my favorite “Traveling Wilbury’s “End of the Line” playing in the background left my mug glassine smooth.

While my focus is admittedly vintage shave tools, I’ll never get rid of my Christopher Bradley safety razor by Karve Shaving. The OC_F plate never fails to delight. Most of my dome-shaving safety razors are vintage, and like many of us in this hobby, have far more than I’ll ever need. Despite PIF’ing and selling many, it’s my regret over the sale of the modern Cobra Classic AC razor three years ago that fuels my reluctance to unload any more. What a fabulous shaver that was! The Karve OC_F plate always reminds me since the shave is quite similar. In any case two ATG passes and I’m velveteen smooth from noggin to neck.

RAZOR: Boker & Co. French Point Cast Steel (Mug), Karve OC_F Plate (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with Alt-Innsbruck AS Splash.

Fantastic shave Barry! I am not surprised that the blade paired well with your R41. It's such an efficient razor that I think most blades would perform well.

Great shave Hogie! I almost pulled the trigger on the Simpson T3, but I have 12 brushes that I am pleased to have in my den. I sometimes use the lather on the brush on my face after a shave, too. Why waste the soap? Lol!

Yes, Joe, my face is so much healthier since I started using these soaps. MWF feels so nice and leaves my skin soft and clean. My old face needs more attention than it did in my youth and benefits hugely from letting the soap sit on my face for a few minutes before rinsing it off. Must be the fats in the soap.

Lovely shave, Barry! The R41 is a very efficient shaver, but definitely not for newbies! Enjoy your Saturday!
