Everybody collects something else besides shaving gear. Stamps, wine stoppers, underwear, coins, what have you. This is the thread to show off your collections :happy088 I'll start with my DVD collection. Over 700 titles and counting... The main part of the collection The cupboard where I store the DVDs I get for reviewing... TV series, box sets and the likes Just a few more. The second row is normally hidden by shaving gear :laugh042 A few limited and collector's editions Just some stuff on display... Hermione riding Gollum's back :happy102 Some DVDs that are waiting to be watched A small part of my movie-trailer collection
The closest I come to a "collection" is I have 3 nekos/neikos. This is a neko, not mine though. I'll get pics later.
I collect Coca-Cola stuff. For a while it was anything with the log on it, but I found that most of that gets stored in bins under the stairs, so I have been focusing more on bottles and cans for the last few years because they are easy to display. I want to make a shelf that goes all the way around my rec room in my basement about a foot below the ceiling and make a boarder of bottles and cans someday. I will post some pictures of my current display when I get a chance.
That's a nice movie collection. I was on my way to 700 titles when several were stolen. Now I'm back to about 500. I don't like the clutter though so I put the disks in those CD binder books. You can get about 150 per book so I've got four books currently. Of course I found out that also makes it easier for thieves to steal them. :angry019 We have steel reinforced gates around the doors and window now. They won't be getting any more free stuff here. Other than that I really don't collect stuff. My wife however seems to keep every scrap of paper she ever received, wrote on, was sent or purchased. She pretty much leaves them where ever she chooses so we're awash in paper here. I don't consider that a collection as much as I do trash however.
OK, I finally took one picture. Much of our basement is decorated with Coca-cola stuff, one of my prides is a glass top bar - table made out of a old gas station style cooler, which is full of 1950s green glass bottles, but I need to clean before I could get pictures of the rest of the stuff... This is just a display of a little bit of my collection. Almost all of the bottles pictured are just one of a six pack, which is in storage.

That is awesome Steve! Cool thing to collect! (bottles) That is actually an inflatable I got on ebay some years back. haha I think I know what you are talking about. I don't have much that is real old, because that stuff is all sooooo expensive, but I do have this older Syrup concentrate bottle that is kind of cool. I have one of them, but a few years back I switched to diet, so sometimes I don't see all of the new cans. Makes it harder.
Steve also had a carpenters pencils collection he sold some time ago in the Classifieds here. That was kind of a neat thing too, I thought. :happy102 Cocaine removed. :happy102
I again have a drawer full of carpenter pencils, I just can't pass up one I've never owned. :ashamed001 I don't mount them in frames anymore though and I will whittle one if I need it.
