Lol! I was a passenger on a bike when I was 17. Never again!

 

I have been riding motorcycles since I was 19. I am 66 now. I took a good spill when I was 22 and that made me a firm believer in leathers and protective gear. I was racing to get to post to get my mail before the mailroom closed (I lived off post my last year in the Army at Ft Bragg, NC). I was going into a corner at about 65 MPH when I came upon some sand on the road on a turn so, I had to back off the throttle which sent the bike in a straight line instead of turning....I went into the ditch and rolled ass over tea kettle as they say at least 3 times. Man, was I sore after that! But, I climbed back on and kept riding. I wiped out all the upper frequencies in the left ear's hearing with that accident. Good thing I was bundled up due to cold weather in Feb and had a full face helmet. Bike got banged up a bit but, I fixed it and rode it over 100,000 miles before it died. 1976 Honda CB400F. I LOVED that bike and it took me many places on and off road.
