Thanks Joe. Since I used a slightly steeper angle with my mildest razor, the Van der Hagen TTO, I decided to use a similar angle with my Redtip today. Viva la difference!

Thanks. As I mentioned in my post to Joe C., I slightly changed the angle to make it slightly steeper to get a more efficient shave.

 

I just tilt it until it feels right. Just start to feel the blade is how I judge. I don't pay attention to the angle. It's all feel.

 

Very nice shave Barry. Did you use the Williams Mug soap or the soap pictures fr your shave. I do not know that one.

That is how I usually do it. However, I wanted to buff less and therefore I developed a slightly deeper angle with my Van der Hagen razor. I just transferred the approximate angle to my Redtip. Steeper angle will make a razor more aggressive and the reverse is also true. It's why you keep the straight or shavette shallow while shaving the sensitive neck.
