I like the T3 so much I decided to get the T2 as well. It looks like the perfect size. T3 is HUGE! But, it still one of my fav brushes

My shaving seems to bore Theo now. He is my baby tho. He is a very loyal and lovable fluffy. VERY distinct personality and smart. He talks a lot too!

 

that is cool.you found a blade you like and now have razor options to use them in.injectors are nice shavers but i don't like to leave blades in ,so they are a pain.just my opinion of course.

 

I, too, remove the blade and clean the razor after each shave.

 

as nice as they are,i only kept a blue handled/nickel plate "66 " type g.blade not removable unless reloading.not my pic.

 

I remember as a teenager, I was going thru a building that had lots of junk in it. Old hearing aids and such. I saw a bunch of these razors and at the time, they looked so foreign to me. Lot's of old discarded razors and other junk. I wish I had some of them now!
I will refrain from those razors for this reason. I just can't leave the blade in. It's better for the razor to have blade removed and cleaned/dried. I wipe mine with microfiber towel to dry after cleaning.

 

Both the blades came and the brush. Set up for tomorrow with the GEM Featherweight and the Trafalgar T2 brush. Also, the new soap!

 

i agree.my gillettes get a hot water rinse after use and then air dry,with the tto doors or cap on loosely.but i usually change out the razor daily anyway so wiped down and back in the case after a few hours.honestly it's probably overkill,but keeping 80+ year old razors in nice condition isn't just tossing them in the cabinet wet.for all of the millions of them made our small community holds the remainder of whats left.hundreds maybe...sorry for the ramble..

I whole heartedly agree! There are MANY that got destroyed

 

as big as wet shaving looks on the net and in adds/on forums etc.we are a mere drop in the shaving world bucket.many folks my age question why i use vintage/old technology shaving equipment.."why do you use that old crap for"was my Dad's response.i guess some people don't care enough,or get by with carts/electrics.35 years of carts was enough for me.yes i am chatty today..

 

I wish I had been shown how to do it correctly when I was a teen! I don't think my dad was ready for kids and I am #2 and the first boy. He never showed me a thing! I didn't start shaving until I was 18 and was forced to by the US Army! Then, I got with a woman who liked my face covered with a beard. Started shaving again in about 2007 with cartridge razors (YUK) I hated shaving and always got burn. I was 51 when I got back into shaving. I only found real wet shaving with a brush and great soaps last Sept at 65. So, I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! I do tend to go all in on things I enjoy. LOL

 

sounds about right..around '82 Dad dropped a bic disposible and a can of goop on the counter and said have at er.he used an electric.he gave me his old one but that sucked.a wife or 2 later plus kids i started using williams and a brush.2006.,but still with carts.i joined this merry group in 2017,just after my first fatboy purchase.the rest is history,and somewhat recorded on this forum...

 

my buddy is 65ish ,born '57,he started using his dad's flaretip shortly after i started with DE.funny how a couple of old razors on display can spark up a conversation.my auto shop front customer area was done like an old garage ,full of shelves and old nick nacks,the shave gear fit right in.i never thought i would start using them,let alone interest anyone else.he has over a third of my collection now,including cars i built for him.though my shop is now closed and gone i still maintain his vehicles and we go hunting for cool relics at swap meets and stuff.my wife is also happy i indulge in old shave gear instead of old cars...love the bike pics by the way.keep them coming...and thanks for the chat..
