you could also pass along soaps and stuff you are bored with to newbies.i am at the point now where i want to use what io really like.if i only have 10 razors and 10 soaps left in the den, they will be my absolute favorites..:)

I find it unhygienic to part with my soaps because I lather from the puck and in turn, it's why I don't accept used soaps from others unless they cut pieces from the puck and bowl lather.

i get that also..the stuff i pass along has never seen a bristle in the puck, hence my scooping a divot with a clean knife.,your boring soaps won't get jealous if some nicer stuff shows up ..:Di could be flogging a dead horse here my friend but please indulge in 1 soap/splash.:)you have the king of shave gear shops at your doorstep.nothing like that here.just the experience to sniff the wares there would be priceless.:):eatdrink047:

I love the Bon Vivant Eric. It pairs very well with the Declaration Grooming Trismegistus.
I have the Bon Vivant soap as well.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Lynx Africa Body Wash.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Chantry Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap.
    Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
    Face Lather.
Lather: HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap (No.2) with Tea Tree & Lavender essential oils.
    Blade: Personna Gem PTFE.(D2)
    Razor: Gem Featherweight.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL + Splash-On Lotion/ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel./Milton Lloyd America Night EdT.

    Relaxing Sunday morning shave,

Everything in the shave set up this morning worked together wonderfully.

The Featherweight is easy to hold the shaving angle manoeuvrable, and well balanced considering it's a lot lighter than my Gem Micromatic OC, and other SE razors, but the weight doesn't hinder the shaving performance in any shape or form....It's all down to good technique & shaving confidence.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd America Night EdT to the chest & pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

After years of using commercial can foam, I am spoiling myself now! But, I won't pay more than 20 bucks for the soap unless it comes in a reusable container like MWF does.

Some of my extra soaps are replacements for those that I know I like and want to have another ready when it runs out (MWF & Bay Rum) so that when I do run out, I won't find the store is out too! I have a lavender puck that I have yet to try that is waiting for a free wooden bowl.

The Amber is getting low and that is one with a weak scent so, something else will go in that bowl. I have 3 wooden bowls & lids with soap in them now. Also have the Mitchell's Wool Fat ceramic bowl with lid. I treasure the MWF ceramic!

I am simply amazed at how nice these vintage razors shave! The 1912 Star was a VERY pleasant shave. This razor has some weight to it so, no pressure was used at all. I learned from yesterday's shave. This little razor will stay in the rotation. I love the feedback you get from this razor. You can hear each whisker surrender to the blade!

I did a 3-pass shave and got BBS face. No irritation at all. You do have to pay attention to what you are doing with this razor. I did a WTG, ATG, XTG shave.

Washed face and did the hot washcloth thing to soften the beard.

The Chiseled Face "Ghost Town Barber" is nice and slick. I had a tad too much water so, I added a dab of TOBS "Almond" cream to the soap. VERY NICE!
I used the last of the TOBS Herbal Gel pre-shave. I still have 1 left but, I won't buy again. This soap lathers very easily. I will buy again when this one is gone.

Alum bar raise no feedback and left the face smooth. Washed face again with the last of the lather from the bowl and the brush. Let it sit on my face while I washed all the tools of the shave. Wiped razor and blade and stored til tomorrow. I will use this razor again tomorrow. How many shaves can I expect from one stainless blade?

Dab of Proraso balm and a splash of Captain's Choice "Italia". I have found another keeper with this razor.

I hope all have as nice a shave today!
