A hell of a Grand Freeze!

The weather here is starting to warm up again so this setup was very appropriate - the Glacial Wintergreen soap’s delightful scent filled the bathroom, the tallow formula ensures perfect lather with mega slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is perfect. The matching balm and witch hazel kept the freeze going beautifully. A couple of shpritzes of Givenchy Gentleman and I’m ready to play golf with a couple of friends of mine. What a brilliant three pass BBS shave this was!

Balm = Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
A/S = TSD 2X Iced Lemongrass

Summer has hit SE Louisiana and it's hot so it's time to bring out the really cold stuff. And the TSD SS/AS are really really cold and work great! Love the Henson razor too, so easy to use and gives a great shave. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

There I was sitting comfortably with the colours of the foxgloves lilting in the gentle breeze outside, dappled sun peering in through the cottage window, the glorious summer scent of Turkish delight from our twin climbing roses coming in through the front door and Test Match Special on the radio entertaining me with England’s endeavours in the cricket and I thought it simply must be a Signature Soap day to bring it all home. Jimmy Anderson gets his 650th test wicket, Joe Root hits one of the best sixes ever and the mood is good so I might well trim the front hedge despite this damn COVID.

Razor : Gem Micromatic Flying wing, AKA> bullet tip, guiding eye, MMFW... Tame mid range, heaviest of the 3 Micromatic model variants, some day just a nice DFS is all I want and MMBT gives carefree shaving mostly. Excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(7) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream- nice clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Makes great ubber lather(mixed in with remnants of previous soaps).
Brush : Yaqi barber pole 24mm 2 band badger- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMFW with a coated Gem blade.
