Showered in hot shower. Prepped face with hot washcloth to the face and added hot water over the Bay Rum soap to bloom it for loading brush.

    Razor - 1912 Star SE
Blade - GEM Personna Stainless (3rd shave)
Brush - Simpson Trafalgar T2 synthetic
    Pre-shave - Proraso Red
Soap - Capt Conk's "Bay Rum"
Aftershave - Captain's Choice "Bay Rum"

Swirled the brush in soap bowl to load while holding soap over my lather bowl letting the suds fall into my lather bowl and then whipped. Once I have enuff soap in the bowl, I whip it for about a minute. TONS of cream!

Another very nice and pleasant shave. The Star razor gives loud feedback on this 2-pass shave with minimal pickup. VERY close and smooth! WTG & ATG.
I got minimal feedback from the alum bar and a couple weepers on the right side of my mouth. Nothing the alum couldn't stop. Very close on upper lip without really trying. This is a very efficient razor for me!

Washed my face with the remainder of the lather from the bowl & brush. Let sit on my face while I cleaned the razor, bowl, and brush. Cleaned face off and applied a dab of balm and a splash of the Bay Rum AS.

Nice! Hope all have a fine day.

That's exactly what I've been thinking, especially with the samples I have, but perhaps with all small pucks, too.

Back after a week’s vacation in Cape May with no WiFi or cell phone. I did manage to jump on the bride’s computer which I took away from her a few times! But otherwise she was restricted to just the TV news and the beach! The weather was superb, and we were able to enjoy the beach every day! She’s been working entirely too hard for the last few months! So yours truly whisked her away for a week. It was time well spent! I brought my Tedalus and my Supply V2 and enjoyed my shaves with my standard MWF and Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme AS Balm. The perfect kit for a week of sun and beach.

This morning’s mug shave featured the Rigarazor 7/8. Sergej, the Latvian maker, is apparently so ill he is unable to work. I would ask that everyone in our community who are believers please pray for his return to health. Andrej, who I believe is his son has picked up the mantle and is continuing the brand, selling straight razors on EBay. Please support him in his efforts! Sergej crafted this Rigarazor which arrived several years ago with a killer edge which yours truly dropped and chipped after just a few shaves. After repairing it, I’ve continued to enjoy this magnificent straight razor which left me smooth as a peach after three passes this morning.

The noggin shave featured the Barbasol Floating Head, a magnificently efficient vintage safety razor. This is one razor that demands good technique. I joke about Madame Barbasol behaving like a jealous woman demanding full attention. Woe betide the unknowing shaver whose attention wanders, for the lady bites! Having danced with her for several years, I’m well acquainted with her eccentricities and always show her the attention she desires! This morning’s dome shave was its usual excellent leaving your happy narrator velveteen smooth from noggin to neck!

RAZOR: Rigarazor 7/8 (Mug), Barbasol Floating Head (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: BG LE Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme AS Balm.
