Back on Hub City- a 4oz. soap costs a penny less than a 4 oz. Bill Neumann soap(FYI). Thought that was interesting.

    Good morning

    1955 Gillette Redtip
    Gillette 7'oclock Perma-Sharp DE Blade (3)
JR #386 Silvertip Tip Badger Brush
    Cella SS
    Old Spice AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 39 hrs.

I decided to dedicate this shave to Gary @brit because he asked me to to a video of a DE safety razor. What better way to acknowledge our Mr. Gillette of the 30 DC with my birth year Gillette Redtip.

I did a 3-pass shave and got a nice, comfortable, very near BBS shave.
My favorite brush is soft and just performs well every time for me.
Cella is an excellent soap that never fails me.
Did not get any cuts or irritation from the shave. Did my usual postshave routine.
Again, I made the video for this shave and it should be downloaded tomorrow. Have a great day.

Very nice shave, Joe. That is one soap I have not tried yet. I think I am good on soaps for now tho. LOL
Maybe I will at some point.

Theo is in wildman mode and racing all over the house. Upstairs and down. He likes his perch in the loft pass-thru.

Thank you Joe. I notice that one has some clove in it. Is it blended in comfortably enough with the other ingredients? I'm not a clove man.

I added a little water last night to the puck, and once again had abundant lather with no reloading needed. Sometimes I think I forget things I did before and rediscover them again! After using synthetic brushes and badgers for months now, I "forgot" about wetting the puck, something I used to do consistently. I used to start with a dry synthetic on a puck upon which I put a small amount of water. Somehow, I have shifted to soaking all brushes while in the shower and loading off of a dry puck. Nothing new, everything old is new again, and once more I confirm my memory is slightly better than a goldfish!

Level 1 plate used this morning for an effortless and enjoyable shave. Feels as good as Level 2 yesterday, but I know the results won't last as long. I think. Maybe my memory is Swiss Cheese on this as well
And, let me wish you a

Thanks Hogie. I do understand about having enough soap. Cella has an almond/cherry scent that I like and the performance is awesome. Hopefully, you will get to try it one day.

Nice shave and pics Eric! I find a damp brush works well when loading soap off a dry puck. I sometimes bloom the soap and use the bloom water as a preshave.

You are quite welcome Gary. It was my pleasure. Next month, I will video a straight razor shave because @MaineYooper Eric wants to get back into straights. I just may do 2 videos next month. The second video would be another safety razor shave. Maybe, it might be my Dollar Tree cheapie.
