I had another amazingly pleasant shave today. Dead Sea soap is really slick! Zero feedback from the alum bar.

I tried the Dead Sea soap for the first time. Scent is mild but it is really slick. It was a little harder to get the rich cream with this soap but, it feels really slippery.

Pre-shave cream was Proraso White altho, I coulda used the sandalwood since the soap has sandalwood in it.
    Soap was Dead Sea soap
Brush was my Simpson Commodore badger
Razor was the Star 1912 with GEM Personna stainless blade (9th use)
After shave was Thayers aloe & witch hazel and Proraso AS. Also a dab of balm.

Showered and prepped face with hot washcloth. I used my spoon to measure a dollop of soap. It was easy to get the lather whipped but, the lather was not as creamy as my other soaps. Very slick tho. I did WTG, ATG, and a little cleanup for a BBS shave. The Star shaves really nice with lots of feedback. Smooth and easy. Very nice razor.

Alum bar gave me no feedback at all so zero irritation. No cuts, nicks, or weepers. I didn't even re-open that cut on my neck! :)
Thayers is so nice. It's probably the aloe.

Tomorrow I will try the GEM Featherweight again to see if it bites me again. I want to finish the blade. It has 9 shaves on it now and still going strong! So, this might be another single edge week. Amazing blades!

I hope all have a fine day. Rainy here.

Fine Menthol Monday shave. The Clubman Pinaud brush is so small it was the proper size for the Razorock puck. Also I didn't bother counting the time at the loading dock-figured not much soap was needed to latch on to the brush. Good work all around. 2 passes. No cuts, one Knick, and no polka-dots. The Knick was harmless, thus I will give this a Super Duper Excellent. Great way to start the week. After the Skin-Bracer A.S., I added some Mutamayez(House of Swiss Arabian)for the cologne.

    good morning gents
carrying on with the limes today.
saving the tech/blade for work shaves later in the week.
fabulous 2 passer with the new deluxe/karve/7 oclock green combo.
love this razor and have always been torn about replating it.
decided to leave it be albeit a fully plated original cap from a donor new lc.
it will only be original once, replating hides it's past.
fine tequila lime lather built with the tuxedo synthetic.
there are many who say there are better synths these days, but i haven't chased that rabbit.
    this one works well enough.
razo-rock lime with ice crystals caps it off.
    awesome.
another hot day today but rain's a coming ,plus cooler temps for a bit.
    fine by me.
    have a great day everyone.

I really like my synthetic brushes. Simpson makes nice one. I have all 3 Trafalgar brushes. T1, T2, &T3. Satin Tip is nice too and the Classic Shaving brush. I have too many brushes now so, no more for me!

    Fab shave, Gary!

Thank you Joe....it cooled down some today, so Skin-Bracer was a good choice.

Thank you Gary. Y'know, om the Skin-Bracer bottlee, it lists P&G as the new owner, but they decided to keep the "by Mennen" theme on there. Which is it, boys??????

For the Taconic, do you use a brush or dig it out with your hands?

But you see "Gillette" still on their products-the P&G part is smaller. With Old Spice, they don't retain the "Shulton" persuasion(course they got bought out too).
    "Proctor And Gamble
"The Best A Man Can Geeeett" (oh no, what have I done??)

shulton was just the original owner, not the product name.;).one didn't see "old spice by shulton" on it's packaging.
