  1. cool new lc.mine is the last version of the new deluxe series, which ran from 1930 ish to 35.they were expensive, and due to the depression of 1929 they didn't sell well, and were discontinued.the tto also came out in 1934,replacing them .[IMG]

  2. Terrific setup and shave Gary! The soap label is just awesome! Noble Otter usually has rather plain labels so that one is very unusual for this company. I know the soap is a winner. Enjoy your day off!

  3. Too bad about that shave Terry. I am sure smoking and eating those chicken thighs and pork shoulder made you feel alright. Take care.

  5. thank you Joe.i thought the labels would make for some cool pics.the scent and performance is excellent, like their other products.i have the flying hide soap, but was never able to get the splash up here when it was released,so i gave up trying their stuff.otter products now have distributors on this side of the border that carry soap and splashes.:):eatdrink047:

  6. the razors pictured are from Mr.Razor's site.i passed along my criterion and belmont sets long ago.excellent shavers but too nice to shave with.my red and black set is the only one i have left.it was the budget version of the series originally selling for 59 cents.the others were $5-10 sets back when they were new.my british belmont was a 1935 only set ,in silver.also a 2 piece ,not 3.to valuable to use imo.museum piece.

  7. my gold 1935 brit 2 piece criterion was even rarer.
[IMG].note the crease near the knob.brit models only.gold was rare in england as they had an abundance of rhodium.

    SRS # 711 - Gemini Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: AA Gen Takahashi Tokusei
    Brush: Jack Skully
    Lather: Arko
    Aftershave: Pinuad Citrus Musk
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel

Very nice shave with a low budget soap. I have both the tub, in the Southern den, and the stick, in the Northern den. No bowl needed today as this is one of the rare times I face lather.

I managed enough lather for a three pass shave. The Arko pairs nicely with the Pinaud CM. The soap is a clean almost Ivory Snow type scent. The resulting shave was smooth and comfortable without any icicle t or delayed post shave weepers.

Beautiful day here on LI. I am in the kitchen prepping for tomorrow’s work BBQ. The missus invites her staff over at the conclusion of the school year. We have not had it since June 2018.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  20. Yes!
After my pork roast (pork butt) gets done.
    In goes the chicken legs.
    But ribs... oh yea.
I got the pork on sale.
It should last a few days.
    I have a masterbuilt 30 inch.
It's small but it does the job.
