Give it away as a gift, use it in a Bloody Mary, or make a Martini. A pint of Bacon Vodka: Fry up three strips of bacon. Add fried bacon to a clean pint sized mason jar. Trim the ends of the bacon if they are too tall to fit in the jar. Or you could just pile in a bunch of fried up bacon scraps. Optional: add crushed black peppercorns. Fill the jar up with vodka. Cap and place in a dark cupboard for at least three weeks. At the end of the three week resting period, place the bacon vodka in the freezer to solidify the fats. Strain out the fats through a coffee filter to yield a clear filtered pale yellow bacon vodka. Decant into bottle of choise and enjoy.
Oh lord....I love bacon but not that much! Pepper vodka is very good with the bloody mary's but bacon? Hmmmm.....someone write a review.
This looks like something that I need to make my friends for our next out of town gaming con. I don't know if I'd touch this stuff but they will be all freaking over it.
I have made that as well as pomagrante vodka and rhubarb vodka. The bacon vodka is awesome in bloody marys.
I do love me some bacon. and booze. but that just doesnt sound like a great idea. I will also throw up in my mouth a little and swallow it back down in case I get hungry later. I'm not a huge vodka fan anyway though. Bacon whisky?
