  1. Nice shave. Loading a brush off the puck takes a minute give or take. Bowl lathering takes a minute or two longer. In any event, you are doing fine with your shaves.
  2. Instructive video. Hadn't thought of starting on my neck and working all the way up for 2nd pass. I've always started at jawline and worked up on my cheeks and did neck area working up after I finish my cheeks. I'll try your method to see how it works for me.
  3. Very good, Gary! I too want to play with all the "Fun Stuff" so, tomorrow and for the weekend, it's the Feather DX. Then to decide what razor(s) to use next week! ;)

  6. Thanks Ken. I would never say my method is the right and only way. I put out these monthly or sometimes bi-monthly videos to give another viewpoint on shaving and to have you guys get more of a personal connection and maybe grow this thread. I encourage anyone to occasionally download their shave. Also, I like to do them because I have former students that subscribe to my channel and maybe down the road they may go into traditional wetshaving because of this exposure to it.
  7. thank you Joe.nice mild shaver.:):eatdrink047:

  10. Looking ahead, I will be doing a video with my most inexpensive razor. It is my $1.36 razor, the Assured for Men from Dollar Tree. It will be sometime later in the month.

    Straight Razor Shave # 380

As promised, my afternoon shave has been completed. Stirling's Barbershop scent really is good. However, it may not be for those who dislike a powdery scent. There's not enough words to describe Stirling's outstanding performance. The picture below is all you need know. Did a 3rd lather as a washup and had enough for at least one more pass.

Did 2 passes and got myself a very nice shave. Did get a microdot weep, but it disappeared without any styptic or alum.
Did have some alum feedback and aftershave burn, but it wasn't crazy.
    Have a great evening.
