Thanks Gary. However, I think that I have found what's causing my rash. I believe it is the fragrance. I have used this soap a few times and I get a burning sensation after multiple lathers. It is a shame because I like the scent. I will have to cut back the lather for this soap and see if less frag means a less skin reaction. I get a similar burn when I used the Stirling Spice, but I don't remember any rash from that frag.

Very nice shave and setup Danny.
I have a sample of Lakewood Soaps, courtesy of @JACarbone Joe. I find that is a good performer. Have a good weekend.

that's good .i have been lucky so far and had no issues.but i rarely use a soap more than twice in a row, rarely that as well.i had one soap that gave me a weird sensation, but it was quickly dispatched..:)

I think that in the ones I liked the best from him(car radios, airplane travel)he didn't swear that much, or if he DID I was too busy laughing to hear any.

Soon I'll bring out that new Razorock soap, but for its first few shaves, I'll be in @Trigger's Chem lab, experimenting with different aftershaves.

I get it. The good thing is that the rashes are almost gone so I guess I can deal with it. I just have to remind myself to use a little less lather per pass. Also, it's not like I have a full 5.8 oz tub. I can deal with the less than 1 oz sample of it. I may mix it with my other Stirling samples that don't have a scent to my nose to limit it as well.

Thanks Joe....if I had to bet it would be something along the Barbershop persuasion-in fact Clubman gets the first trial.

Clubman can go with almost anything so that's a safe choice. What is the Razorock soap that has the call?

It's a 3xxx(triple milled)...forgot the full name, the part I can see is "Savon Barbe". Italian Barber had a special for it, and I couldn't say no.

That looks amazing. I think I just learned how to load a brush. It takes a full 60 seconds in the soap puck before moving to the bowl and beginning to add water

Thank you. I think what happens with newbies is that they fear failing on lathering, shaving, etc. It's OK to get an average shave or an average lather. With time and practice, we all get better. I am coming on 4 years of traditional wetshaving and still am tweaking my routine. This hobby is an ongoing process. Enjoy the journey. Take care.

Absolutely Joe, unfortunately...Fortunately i foreseen that greed was going to rear it's ugly head, and bought a bulk quantity before it happened. A friend of mine done the same between us we have enough shave sticks to last us for a few years...When ever some one needs we pass one on 'Free of charge'.

    (Face & Head Shave)

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend....Continuing my month tribute to my fellow shaving friend @Jgreenepa who kindly the Gem Featherweight to me in early January this year.

The Featherweight is easy to find the shaving angle manoeuvrable, and well balanced considering it's a lot lighter than my Gem Micromatic OC, and other SE razors, but the weight doesn't hinder or alter the shaving performance in any shape or form....It's all down to good technique & shaving confidence, using a lighter razor keeps me focused, rather than relying on the weight of the razor to maintain the shaving angle.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.
