I decided to do a simple shave with the Assured for Men Razor and Arko Shave Soap. I have seen reviews on this razor and most haven't been good. I surmise that their technique is lacking because I got another great shave with it. The razor is on shave #3 and it has gotten smoother, but it is still sharp. The razor is aggressive, but I back off on the angle and it's still efficient.

Once again, Arko performed like a champ. Here is my bowl lather:



Two and a half passes gave me a BBS shave without errors.
Had some feedback from the alum block. Finished with the witch hazel and Stjrling's Blood on Steel aftershave. Unfortunately, it is unobtainable.
I made a video of today's shave and hopefully I will be able to download it here within a day or two. Take care.

Thanks Gary. This bowl makes lathering soaps a pleasure. It fits my hand perfectly so that it is not tiresome when I bowl lather. I wish it was a little deeper, but it still makes plenty of lather for me.

Good afternoon gentlemen. Another fine weather day here on LI. I am sure Joe, @Trigger, is ecstatic given that he is fair skin, pseudo Italian if you ask me.

Today’s shave starts my second week with the Blackship Grooming Company La Concorde soap. If my calculations are somewhat on point this soap may meet the Edmund Fitzgerald at the end of the month.

The Puma 65 razor delivered a super smooth shave. My normal three passes did the trick. My face feels smooth and velveteen. Post shave alum report was relatively silent. On a roll I guess.

Great shave Joe! Yes, I do like today's weather. This light olive complexion guy has been getting some sun so I do have some color. You will notice it when we meet at the Sound Beach Diner at 10 am tomorrow for our LI Chapter of TSD breakfast. Take care.
