The family is well. I hope you and Kathy are enjoying your summer and are well. Will you be heading up to the North Country? Skol!
That sounds great, Joe. We are having a great summer. Things are starting to feel normal again, and we're thankful. We've been to MN once this summer and need to return once more for a brief trip. Relatively minor stuff this time around. Then we're done with the North Country (or they're done with us) until next summer.
I'm a lefty. As a kid, I strapped my first watch on my right wrist. An adult told me that I was wearing it wrong, so I moved it to the left wrist. Been there ever since. (That may have been the only time I ever followed directions given to me by an adult.) I bat, throw a ball, and pick on a guitar right-handed. I eat with both hands and sometimes use my feet, if needed, to create a competitive advantage.
Sounds like we are both a little confused. I eat, write, play pool, and iron left-handed. I use a chef knife, throw a ball, throw darts, and golf right- handed. I shoot a rifle and shotgun right handed, but can shoot a pistol with either. I have a nice-sized collection of left-handed watches that I wear on my right wrist.
Good shave this morning 1930s Gillette Long Comb with Permasharp blade (2nd) Mitchell's Wool Fat Simpson Berkley brush Proraso Blue Thayers & Geo F Trumper Pinaud Clubman AS Washed face and bloomed the soap. The Proraso Blue cools the face. This bowl really makes nice lather easily. I had a nice 3-pass shave with minimal cleanup. WTG, ATG, XTG got me really smooth! Alum bar gave minimal feedback. I did go over a couple spots a few too many times. Maybe it's time to bin the blade after 2 shaves! The Thayers feels so nice and the Geo F Trumper is also very calming to the face. I really like these open comb razors! My lather bowl has ridges inside and this makes tons of lather quick! And the bottom is easy to hold onto while whipping the lather. I hope all have a fab day!
Gary, your 000 is an absolute beauty! I bet it sounds and plays wonderfully. I have a Yamaha FS820 and a Martin HD35. I took lessons for awhile and need to get back to them.
It is my baby! Adi top, quilted mahogny back & sides. 12 fretter. It is starting to open up now and sounds amazing! I even got it signed by Chris Martin!
I have a D-15M, GPC Aura GT, D-35, this custom, Washburn D52SW, and 3 electrics (Les Paul Studio, Telecaster, and a custom Tele clone that I built with Warmouth and Stewmac parts (also Fender parts))
I'm a righty golfer, too. Once I tried swinging with my left hand and it resulted in a huge divot near the ball. I should add, my left hand is my strong hand.
July 13 SOTD. Good morning Shavette Shave #377 Dovo Shavette Personna Hairshaper Blade (14) JR #290 Cashmere Brush Razorock XX SS Pinaud-Clubman Lilac Vegetal AS Maggard's Alum Block Dickinson's Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 41.5 hrs I am continuing my bowl lathering focus this month and I made a nice, rich and creamy lather from the Razorock XX Unfortunately I took pictures that cannot be downloaded because I inadvertently changed the settings so that the pic are more compressed. Anyway got a great 2 pass shave. Alum feedback was zilch. Witch hazel and Veg aftershave to top this fine shave. Take care.
Lose the cigar, put the hat on with the thing facing front, and you have ME. (The babe can stay, of course).
