I already have ONE cold shave soap-dccided just now to get another....from Wet The Face(Frozen Lemon Ice).

 

very cool.i have the stirling lemon chill.be interesting to see how they compare.

 

I would have ordered the Stoylin, but I'm already on their Bath Soap deal...course I could have asked the Doc to add the Lemon Chill, but I already asked him to drop one soap and add another for this next batch. Humid all next week....weather gettin a bit lousy. Ahh, it's summer after all. The Wet The Face and my current Stoylin frozen soap should get me through this summer and beyond. The Stoylin I am working on now is Glacial Electric Sheep.

 

Joe, I decided to give your local Wet The Face a try...going for their Frozen Lemon Ice.

Thanks Paul. It seems that Jethro was a Princeton man, so I was a bit confused on Ivy League matters.

 

My Bride reminded me that I already had a shaving scuttle for bowl lathering. I purchased it a few years ago along with a brush scuttle but have never used it. I'll bring it out for some bowl lathering action in the next few days.

I use the brush scuttle quite often when face lathering. It's good for soaking the brush prior to the shave and then for keeping the lather warm.

This shave is a tribute to a fine member of the FB group Old Cahaba Shave Club that past away today. Ernie was a fine gentleman who help other in many different ways that were not limited to the wet shaving community. The shave soap and splash featured in this shave was created by Ernie. I had decided yesterday to shave with this soap unknowing of whatever May have caused his passing later in the day.

The soap delivers a fine lather with a scent of a campground. It definitely brings bays days of my youth camping out in the woods on Long z island before the explosion of developments.

I received a very close shave with ample amount of slick lather. This shave was my first use of the HB Shavette. It performed well but I did manage a couple of weepers which just supports the learning curve with this razor. The alum and witch hazel managed to knock them back.

Tomorrow is Menthol Monday and this will be my setup for tomorrow's shave.

 

I am keeping low profile today. My back is killing me! Must be arthritis setting in! I was bent over that bike for too long! Not even sitting on a stool helped. It took me a couple hours to get bike fixed and my back paid for it.

Pain pills and sitting in my chair is the order for today. Surfing the web and watching videos. Raining here this morning.

It may take me a while to get out of my chair to even shave! I may not need to shave today. The Hawk with open comb base plate and Feather Professional got me really close and I don't really have much to shave today!

I have one WTF soap, Vintage Bsrbershop. It is good stuff Paul. I will pick up another of Donald’s soaps in the future when the den reduction makes some progress. Enjoy it.
