For today's shave, all I need to do is get out my trusty rubber stamp marked "Same As Yesterday" and give it a good push in this post. :). Seriously, another great one. In these hot days, shaving is one of my relaxing activities (especially when Stoylin Glacial Sheep is part of the persuasion). Or any Stoylin Glacial or any Glacial for that matter. A beauty all over. Again, just one pass on the sideburns, so as to avoid removing my glasses twice. 2 passes to cover everywhere else. No Cuts, Knicks and Red Polkadots(although some red stuff happened DURING the shave, all at N. Porcupine Alley, and was nicely washed off by the rinse and aftershave). Outta This World Excellent.

I see you used Aqua Velva Classic. I gave up on it, due to the pour spout being too large. Maybe I'll try Aqua Velva Ice Sport-since it's smaller, so must the spout be too.

Oh, I liked it right away. Let's see what it's like with Osage in the summers(course Osage is popular in barbershops).

The vast majority of my shave set ups are in-expensive...Technique & shaving confidence trumps tools...However, it's down to personal choice what people use & buy.

    DE Shave # 411 - JustOneJulySoap- Weekdays

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Assured (Dollar Tree)
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: CRD Sky - O- Earth 26 mm Synthetic
Lather: Blackship Grooming Company La Concorde
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Today I decide to give the Assured DE razor, gifted to me by Joe, @Trigger, at last weeks LI 30DC Chapter meetup. This is the second Dollar Tree razor I have in my den. The Assured will reside in the Southern Den while my original Dollar Tree razor while be in the Northern Den for availability when traveling.

The Assured razor is a three piece razor at $1.36 price point while the Original Dollar Tree is a Twist to Open (TTO) at $1.99.

On to the shave. I did my usual three passes. The razor with the GSB blade on it’s second use. The resulting shave was as close to BBS without testing with a cotton. The alum report was almost nonexistent. However, I did develop a delayed weeper about 5 minutes after the post shave routine was completed.

The soap is on it’s death throes. At most, I will have three shave left which means the Edmund Fitzgerald will arrive Monday at the latest.

Currently, Anthony is digging for Sharks teeth at Venice beach.

Another warm day in the sun. Hope all of you find a nice place to stay cool.

I just put my index finger over the hole. I adjust so a drop or two come out at a time. I use about 12 drops per application. If you like it, do not give up on it.

No she was not there today....but, another waitress who is nice was. Fried calamari, garlic toast with cheese, and stuffed shells filled me up! Very pleasant ride but, it is getting too hot now. 92 here.
Small towns are awesome! I was in the NYC water supply watershed! Near Cannonsville.
