    (Face & Head Shave.)

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend.....Whilst i was picking out items for my SOTD set ups for this week on yesterday i decided to have an annual ruthless den clean discarding various near-used/gone off no longer have any use for shaving assortments, which made me feel better and jogged my scatter-brained memory to start using stuff i haven't gave much attention for a considerable amount of time.

It's been a while since i last used the GFT Violet shaving cream which was kindly gifted to me by a fellow member of TSR forum along with a tub of Edwin Jagger Lime &Pomegranate shaving cream, and some Van Der Hagen Glycerine Mango Luxury Shaving Soap, of which I'll add to my soap rotation in future shaves.

The Ever-Ready 1912. (US) was my introduction to vintage SE razors kindly gifted to me by another member of TSR forum, of which I' am forever grateful for...'The kindness of strangers is a wonderful thing!'

The solid design of these razors & the thickness of the Gem PTFE blade give them great rigidity keeping blade chatter under control which is wonderful. Adding to that, it's so easy to insert & remove a blade.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small squirts of blue Stratos EdT to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Weekends are for the Hawk! Nice Saturday shave!

Razor - Razorock Hawk v3 standard base plate with Professional blade (2)
    Soap - Mudder Focker cream
    Pre-shave - TOBS Herbal Gel
    Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar
Post-shave - Thayers Toner with Witch Hazel & Aloe
Geo F Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food
    A/S Pinaud Clubman

Very pleasant 3 pass shave with no cleanups. WTG, ATG, XTG. I did manage to nick my chin! Alum bar stopped leak and gave minimal feedback. The shave with the Hawk is always pleasant. Nice heft to this razor.

I am sore today but, off to a Music Jam BBQ with friends. Geetar time!
I hope all you guys stay cool!

Good shave this morning from the Wet The Face soap-but should have been better. To begin with, I should have allowed more water on the Clubman brush. Tomorrow, I will let more water onto the brush(course it won't be the Clubman, as I never use the same brush on back-to-back days). Nice work along the cheeks&sideburns, doing a little extra on the latter. The two Porcupines required extra work too, but I succeeded in what I missed yesterday. One cut down at South Cactus(around the Adams Apple). No Knicks, no polkadots. The Skin Bracer is a nice compliment to a "frozen" soap like Wet The Face's offering. Very Excellent.

It's been awhile since Max came out to play. In fact, it was May 31 and that has been the longest stretch without using this razor. It was my first custom razor and it's been in my collection just over 2 years.
Anyway, Cella never disappoints other the quality of its lather and its slickness. It's one of the easiest soaps to make a lather regardless of the method. Here is my bowl lather:
    20220723_100227.jpg
I had enough lather for 3 passes which I did and another 3 passes for my headshave using my Fatboy (not shown) on setting 9 with a Gillette Winner blade.

Yes, I did a rare 3 passes with a straight. Lol!
After 2 passes, Max gave me a near BBS shave, but he was feeling a little tuggy so I refreshed the blade on my pasted strop, then hit it on the linen and leather.
The third pass was with the grain and it went smoothly as I ended the shave with a error free BBS result. I also got a cueball smooth headshave as well.

I didn't get any alum feedback anywhere so I was quite pleased. Witch hazel was splashed on my face, neck and dome and it was followed with the cooling Aqua Velvet Ice Blue aftershave. Have a great day guys!
